When did you all drive again? One of my kids was asked over for a play date tomorrow. I had surgery on 6/20. I haven't had any meds for awhile now.

I don't remember any orders from my doc on how long to wait before driving.

I was lazy, I made folks drive me for about 2 weeks.

My doctor had me be off pain meds for at least 24 hrs before I could drive!

As soon as you are off the pain meds you should be able to drive no problem.

learn from me! as long as you're not on pain meds, you're good.. just be careful when turning around while backing up! not a good feeling if youforget you just had surgery! lol

My surgeon said I could drive as long as I had been off pain meds for 24 hours.

That's what I was figuring. I've not taken any pain meds since Friday morning. I quickly realized they did nothing for the pain (gas) I was experiencing! Haha!

Maybe it will help me feel even better by getting out?

You might check with your Dr. to make sure it's okay... I didn't drive for a week or so...
