  1. I had port revision after a slip. I, also, may need to eventually get a smaller port because it has turned over to make room as my surgeon says happens after a large amount of weightloss. Best wishes. Karen
  2. I like your new hairdo too! You look real nice and I agree with Debbie3sons, you do need to show off your figure with new clothes. But, since you are moving, I am not telling you to go out to buy!
  3. God bless your surgeon's hands! See you on the recovery side!
  4. i think that he has already donated the suit. Thanks for the advise for folks who don't think of the same, tho'!
  5. Woohoo! Congrats on a job well done; and don't give up, keep on going!
  6. You make me laugh when I think about my son. He was losing after his banding and asked to get a suit tailored, and the tailor said that it was way too much to take in, it would not look good. Hurtful when he had paid $1000.00 for the suit! Best of luck to you who are hoping for tailoring!
  7. Your port incision will have a lump,as that is your port. As it gets filled, it will get rounder and harder. You will have at least 2 small acrs adn 1 larger scar, they will almost disappear but your port one will be prominent for awhile
  8. I shopped Goodwill stores and end of season sales. 2nd hand stores have lots of nice stuff if you are selective. Also, there check out clothing exchange here in this forum. Best wishes, Karen Also, instead of using food as a reward, try anew pair of pants or a shirt.
  9. I agree, sometimes I can fell my port pull and i am almost 4 years out!
  10. Where did you hear about the "kink" in the band? I have never heard of this. What kind of symptoms do you have? I have had 2 slips, one that needed a revision operation. Best wishes on your problem. Karen
  11. I stay away from corn as my hubby is allergic. But we did love it before. I was good with cream corn after surgery!
  12. Best wishes, and like CG said, see you on the other side of your surgery!
  13. Happy birthday, NO cake for you, but celebrate your new life instead!
  14. Follow your doctor's rules! CG doctor is HER doctor.
  15. I only went with my husband, and then tried to be real careful. I did not want to hurt myself! We slow walked thru Walmart.
  16. Hi happytolap! How are you doing?
  17. My doctor is Grossbard. I go to a location in Zeyphrhills, Fl. But, he has several places and affiliations in the Tampa/Orlando area.
  18. I am sorry to her that you are unwell. My daughter is having the same trouble and has an appointment for today. she is afraid of a slip, too! Take care. Karen
  19. Sorry to hear, I did not have this problem. (((((hugs))))) to you both!
  20. That would be your port, area!
  21. I have a fruit, and protein shake in am, and then cheese, or tuna salad, or chicken salad for lunch. For dinner I have, usually, fish and maybe a veggie.
  22. Smiling for you! Awesome NSV! Buy some new shorts on your son's dime! And the shorts didn't get big, you got smaller!!!
  23. Wow! Great NSV! Unlike the others I was about 120 when I got married, and it wasn't in a long wedding dress. But I am sure, it would still be too small as I have never been that small again. Congrats, to all you brides who either can make it into your small wedding dress, or to all of you who don't want to EVER fit into your wedding dress again!
  24. Yes, the band is a tool. You still have to work it!
  25. 24 years ago, I had to have my wedding ring cut off. For Christmas this year, I had it put back together so I could wear it again! I have not had it off since then! NSV"s are the best!
