  1. Sounds like gall bladder, but only your surgeon can tell for sure. Call the doctor! Best wishes
  2. You took the words right out of my mouth! Fat free usually has higher sugar content. Karen
  3. I started toward my healthier eating while on the 6 month plan. But, had plenty to lose so, I did not get denied. See a nutritionist for guidance (also, many surgeon's require this). I can't give advice on doctors in the area, but do your research, and make sure to attend your seminar before jumping on the bandwagon! Best wishes, Karen
  4. Sounds like you are doing great preparing yourself! Congrats to all of you who are pre-op or post op. Karen
  5. I agree with the others, call your surgeon! ASAP!
  6. You are probably born later than those of us in the "clean Plate Club". I think that was baby boomers. I am glad that we are able to get past that, now! Raising children without weight issues is tough.
  7. Congratulations Tom! You are marvelous for writing your story. Wow! makes me wish I lived in Canada, so I could be on your list of coffee buddies. You have done a great job, stay with us, all the folks here need your support! happy 7th bandiversary!!!Karen
  8. Eating protein for breakfast keeps me full 'til later in the afternoon. I am staying away from peanut butter, but have found almond butter, what a treat! My new worst enemy!!
  9. Well, since you asked, I have been told, and have advised others that you should stay on liquids for at least a day after fills. My own surgeon says 2 days clear 2 days full liquids to let the swelling in the band go down. Now, since you have already done the deed, I would advise you to go back to liquids for a day or so. Back to the food choices, baked chicken breast is very dry, you probably should have put a sauce on it to eat it. I stick to either dark meat or eating it with a sauce of sorts. Potato salad, while good, is very tough to digest unless you chew forever. It has a lot of chunky potatoes, celery, etc. Be careful, probably if you had waited a day or two, you could have eaten them okay. Best wishes, have a nice weekend. Karen
  10. Well, if you have always had large breasts, and have not always been fat, you probably won't lose all your breast, just the excess fatty part. I went form 255 to 140. I was 44dd, and went to 34c. But I was not always huge in the breasts, and believe me, I like the smaller better! Karen
  11. Great, any NSV is great!
  12. Are you losing by all scales? Doesn't really make a difference if you are losing the same amounts from each pounds! God by the surgeon's weight, tho. That's what I do!
  13. For anyone who needs to find out their bra size, go get measured! It is free and most good dept store have a lady who can do it for you. Best wishes, Karen

  17. If you drink, you might be affected quicker by the drink. Both me and my son, experienced drink going to our heads, quickly! But, remember they are empty calories, and you need to count them in your daily total! Best wishes, happy Independence Day
