  1. hello Malf, I would see your surgeon. It is time for a fill. You should still be loosing, if that is your goal. I know that it is normal to gain some weight after you reach goal and are in maintenance, but if you aren't in maintenance, you need a fill to get yourself back on track! Goo luck, Karen
  2. That is a good idea, we will have to work on it!
  3. Great job! I am like you, never lost this much before100lbs). I never met goal, most I lost was 20-30 lbs even with WW. I am proud and happy. Good luck and keep up the excellent weight loss! Karen
  4. I ate what I wanted, just less of it! I always eat off a small plate, and know just how much I can eat. There are 3 of us with lapband in family of 6 adults. Two of the others need the lapband, too! But, no one gorged themselves this year, it was nice. Try it, you might enjoy it! Karen
  5. Hi Ladies, I don't meet the requirements, I live in Central Florida, but wanted to say, "Hi" anyway. I just had my 2 year bandiversary in Oct. I, too, struggle with my band and maintenance. I just had a revision after slippage, and now have 3 1/2 cc in my port. I feel I, also, need a fill. I go next week. So, Hello and good luck to you all! Karen
  6. I had surgery in the AM, and the surgeon said I could go at 5. But, then as my husband was on the way, we live 1 hr away, he said my insurance insisted on an overnight stay. So. I was there about 24 hours. My son, who had surgery in August of this year, stayed for 4 hours after the surgery! So, it depends on your surgeon, and your insurance! Karen
  7. Call the on cal doctor! You will enjoy the relief when he/she takes out a slight amount! Good luck, Karen
  8. How nice that will be! I won't wear PINK, because I am 63, but it is good to have a goal at your age!
  9. I, also, saw my surgeon once a month for a year. He still kept me on once month until I hit my goal, now, I see him about every 2-3 months because I am on maintenance. As I get more used to it, I will probably be cut back even more. But definitely call your surgeon's offcie , if you have questions!
  10. How long have you had your lapband? It is always okay to call the Dr office!! Are you able to eat/drink? Did you eat/drink something that got stuck? Five days is a long time to be in pain. Good luck, Karen
  11. My grand daughter really liked Fax milk, but our area stopped carrying it, as the distributor went under. But, I know that in St Pete and Clearwater they still have it, if you are near there. She liked the vanilla, but it also comes original. You could check for that, too! It was sold at Walmart, when we got it.
  12. We did Vegan for about 15 months back in 1995. It was hard when it came to Thanksgiving. We did make it through though. You just need to stick to eating a lot of beans and nuts. You can now, even order a Vegan"turkey", I can't remember what they call it. But, if you are interested, check online. Also, 7th Day Adventist's websites. Adventists are Vegan or vegetarians, we lived in Washington, DC and they were easily found. Good luck!!!!Karen
  13. I have never had a problem explaining that I have had surgery and need to either share or have a child's menu. I prefer not eating a child menu,a s it usually is not my choice of food. However, on a holiday when I am paying $75.00 a person, I would make that choice easily!!!!
  14. My port grows and shrinks depending on how much fill is in it. At times it feels big and round, right now, I have 3 1/2 cc in it, it is smaller than it was a few months ago. You might, also, feel it more at night while laying down, and I see mine when I am in the swimming pool. It will bulge out then!
  15. My surgeon advises an unfill for teachers during stomach virus time at their school. Getting sick with stomach virus can cause a slip. I know because I had one just in October. Good luck and best wishes for getting past stomach virus season. Karen
  16. WOW! my hero!Nancylee219. You are doing great, and I ma glad to hear that basicly, you are never too old for lapband surgery. I had mine done at 61. I am happy to be at goal, something I have never achieved on any other diet. Good luck to you both. Karen
  17. Thanks for the smile, B-52! Best wishes to you, you have and are doing great! Karen
  18. Congrats to you B-52! But there are so many of us like livingmydreams! 1st off, I am at goal, but find maintenance hard! I have my lapband at 3 1/2 currently, due to a slip and surgery in Oct. I intend to ask the surgeon to raise it to 4 cc next week. I have enjoyed this 3 1/2; I have been able to eat ,almost, normally. I had not had salad in 2 years, but, can eat a small bit now. I am, also, not loosing and gained a few lbs. Not good! So, I will have it tightened and life goes on! Good luck to all, and happy life! Karen
  19. I hear the same thing! I have lost 100lbs, but I am just into now not being overweight. I have"fluff"as my grandson says. It is mostly in my stomach and my chin. My granddaughter suggested that I could get plastic surgery on my neck, so I can look younger, too! Haha! Good luck to us all. Karen
  20. Hurrah! You can do it, and you have! Keep up with the good work, you will reach your ultimate goal! Karen
  21. I must say, you Sir, are doing great! I, also, have no regrets, a few problems, but would never have lost 100 lbs without the band. I am one that gets bored with dieting. The lapband makes it easier to stay on track. Goodluck to everyone! Karen
  22. Hurray! You have done fantastic, and you ARE an inspiration for others. Congrats, again. Karen
  23. Most PB's would not contain stomach acid because the food hasn't gotten to your stomach yet. That is why it doesn't taste like regular vomit.
  24. Wow, way to go! Congrats and great going! Karen
