  1. Welcome, and congrats on your great weight losses! Good luck to you and your future losses! Karen
  2. Be glad to have restriction so quickly! Make sure that the meat you are eating is very fine. Stay away from dry meats. I eat a lt of fish, and if I eat chicken it is not dry breast meat. Beef and pork are hard to chew up. Take care, and good luck. Karen
  3. I would venture to say, probably not a slip. However, if you are worried, see you surgeon. Karen
  4. My closets are overfilled, now! So, yes, after 2 years, I am, now, trying to control the urge to shop for something new! I fail, a lot!! Good luck to us all. Overshopping is better than overeating! Happy New year. Karen
  5. Happy New Year to you! Congrats on your decision to take control. Good luck and best wishes. Karen
  6. Yes, but your body will, eventually, adjust. I am extra cold in air conditioning. In summer, I live in Florida, we keep our air at 78 degrees. In the winter, if we need heat, we still keep it about 75-77. My husband gets cold, too! He likes to wear shorts all year around. I wear sweaters and long pants in winter. Today, it is 40 degrees with a 25 mile wind. I have sweater, jeans, socks and sneakers on. I am good in the house! I keep throws all around on the couch. Good luck, Karen
  7. Hello, and welcome back 54Shirley! That is really weird, because as elcee said, you are always on and answering other people's questions, responding to others. Anyway, start the New Year off right! Bless us all, and here we go!!!!Karen
  8. Congratulations Cazzy on your weight loss! Over 200 lbs in 1 year, your surgeon and you must be very proud! Your list is excellent! I hope that others take your Do/Don't list and add to it for themselves. Happy New Year. Karen

  10. Prayers for you and your family! I hope that the New year brings you the joy that you so deservedly need. Happy New year. Karen
  11. Hi, Laura71 is right. I had repair surgery in Oct. The surgeon thought he might have to remove the lapband and replace it in 2 months. But, he was able to repair it instead. I am doing fine. It takes awhile to get back to restriction after the slip, but finally am and maintaining okay. Good luck and Happy New Year to you! Karen
  12. I had lots when I was heavier. Went from a 44 dd to 36 d. Probably could use 34, but some excess skins bulges when I do. Anyway, used to be real big on top and now, wear same size as my d-i-l who is extra skinny. I am in a small top, too! Hope that helps. Happy New Year. Karen
  13. Oh yes! And there is no time like the present, especially if you are ready, now! Good luck and happy New Year to you! Karen
  14. It does sounds like a slip. You do need to see your surgeon or bariatric specialist. You.sound like you are ready to get back on track, anyway. Good luck, the New Year is a a good time to start back. Karen
  15. Happy New year to you all! I hope that 2012 see less of all of us! (weight wise that is!). My wish for 2012 is peace, love and weight loss. Bless you all and stay healthy and happy. Karen
  16. YOU can do it!!!!Congrats to you on the 1st step and best wishes for a new you in the New Year!!!!
  17. I, also, can't speak for anyone else. But, I am very happy to be thinner. I am not the smallest I have been my adult life. When I was in my 20's I was a lot smaller; but, I am the smaller now than I was for the last 35 years. I never liked being the "fat lady" and that was my motivation, finally, to do lapband. I have been on every diet you can think of, try predigested protein,Slim fast, and weight watchers, etc. Nothing kept the weight off. This does, especially if you stick to it. No, I never regret having taken the step I took, and do not find it hard to be the thinner lady, now! Good luck, and Happy New Year!! Karen
  18. Happy bandiversary, and congrats on your losses. I hope the New year brings you all the joy and losses that you are wishing for! Good luck.Karen
  19. Woohoo! Great NSV! Happy New Year ,and new job, and new you!
  20. Yahoo! Going into the New Year loosing is awesome! Karen, by the way, We call that a real victory!
  21. You probably will be okay. During my 6 month supervised diet, the surgeon gave me phen. He did not want me to take any after 6 months, tho'. It, and the nutritionist visit, helped me loose 25-30 lbs. But, not everyone is like that, my son lost 6, because the surgeon did not want him to loose anymore than that, he was borderline BMI. The insurance company wants to make sure that you can follow a plan. Good luck. Karen
  22. Wow! Happy New year to you! It only gets better. My most fun NSV was when my own daughter looked down an aisle for me, while we were shopping, and couldn't find me. I was there, but she didn't see me! Karen
  23. milk of magnesia, or magnesia liquid. They both are helpful, and mild enough. Good luck! Karen
  24. I was allowed to suck on hard candies, I chose sugar free lollipops. They help, too! I don't know your history, but this is kind of the reason that I feel the 6 month dieting helps beforehand. Your stomach has already shrunk somewhat, so you are not quite starving. And when you start eating, you are sued to the smaller plates, and portions. But, good luck, I hope that you survive this "bandster hell".. Karen
