  1. Great question, I saw that ad beside the message board for the isopure and wondered if it was good. I have tried a couple of the Protein shakes you can buy at convenience stores (muscle milk, etc) and eh, I couldn't handle it. I did have some luck with the Carnation Instant Breakfast, it reminded me more of a slim fast, not thick and gritty. Can't wait to hear your review once you get your isopure to see what you thought. I will be on the lookout for the protein shots, those of you that bought them, have you already had your surgery? I wondered how they worked with trying to get them down quickly because of the strong flavor...and having the band restriction keeping you from doing it too quickly. countdown on 12/18 Surgery!
  2. My doctor doesn't require a pre-op diet either. I do have to stop eating high fiber foods on Saturday before my surgery on Friday, then on Thursday before its clear liquids all day. I would think that the pre-op diet would help get you used to the way you will have to eat after the band. Less than a month to go (freaking out now LOL)
  3. Hello fellow December bandsters. I just finished my pre-surgery workup appt this past Thursday and I am scheduled for December 18. Starting to freak out just a bit, but more about the being put to sleep part than the surgery. I am sooo excited by just the thought of being able to do things with my kids without getting winded or even just to have the energy to do somethign with them to begin with. I feel so blessed to have what I am considering a 2nd lease on life. Let's do this.... Merry Christmas to us all!
