  1. Good luck in the morning & yes please let me know what they say! Take care!
  2. I was banded on the 29th and I am still fighting major gas pains in my left shoulder. I actually wear a heat patch all day at work and get on the heat pad before bed. I have been walking on every break and after work, but doesn't seem to help. I too have been eating gas x like candy! Glad to know I am not alone, but when will it stop????
  3. I went into surgery on Tues down 19 lbs, came home on Wed and had gained 9 of it back :smile2: My doctor said this is normal esp since they had to increase my IV overnight because my blood pressure decreased. I am happy to report I weighed in this morning and am back at the weight I was the morning of surgery ~ down 19 So, I agree, just hang in there and keep doing what your doing it will pay off! Good luck!
  4. I was banded on Tuesday and was able to come home yesterday. I too would love to know how long the pain lasts. Most of my pain is on my left side by my port, I keep trying to walk and stretch but it hurts really bad. Hopefully it will pass soon.........take care!!
  5. Good luck with your fills! About the port,my surgery is tomorrow morning, but I have read a lot of people on here talking about feeling the port?! Good luck to you
  6. My doctor will not do the first fill until 8 weeks....looks like I'm going to be in for another major challenge!! I thought the 14 day liquid diet was rough........
  7. My doctor told me no more ibprofen from 2 weeks before surgery to forever. He said that it can cause ulcers around the band. I haven't done any personal research on this, I just stopped taking it.
  8. I've been on the 2 week liquid diet prior to surgery, which is the 29th. The best store shakes (personally) are EAS and the strawberry are my favorite. They sell them at Wal-Mart! I also ordered online Chike shakes and they are great! I have Orange & banana flavor so I have some variety. You can get free samples and just pay for shipping! Good luck to you!
  9. I understand exactly what you are saying! I am on day 8 of a 14 day liquid diet. Honestly the first 3 days were HORRIBLE! I was in the worst mood ever, mad at the world and didn't know how I was going to make it. Hang in there, I promise it does get a little better. I'm still thinking of food and hate how many commercials and billboards there are with food on them to remind me when I am not thinking of it, but my mood is a lot better these days compared to last week It will be worth it! :crying:
  10. Chike Nutrition - Best Tasting Meal Replacement Shake. Guaranteed. Pour, Shake, Drink & Go! These are my favorite shakes, I like all flavors, but banana & orange are the best. Prob because they are diff than all the other choc, straw & vanilla. Good luck to you =) I hope you like them as well as I do!!
  11. BE STRONG GIRL...YOU CAN DO IT!!! I also started my liquid diet on Tuesday & it has been rough.:smile2: I thought I was doing better today until I just watched my husband & son eat Monical's pizza.:wink2: Keeping the end goal in mind is the only thing keeping me on track right now. I also keep telling myself the only way to avoid food completely would be to lock myself in a room...which crossed my mind more than a few times, but not logical. lol We can do this together!!! Is your surgery on Dec 29th?
  12. I don't start my liquids until next week but have stocked up and tried several different kinds....Atkins being one of them. I thought if I have a variety it might help the 2 weeks go smoother? lol Anyway, I like the Atkins, but my favorite is Chike (which I ordered online). Good luck to you! Hang in there, you will be in surgery before you know it
  13. My doctors office gave me samples of a Protein shake called Chike, I tried all 5 flavors and to be honest...I liked them all. I ended up ordering some of the banana & orange, just because I can pick up choc, strawberry & vanilla in other brands in the store for a change if I need to. They have a sample pack online you can order and only pay shipping. I highly recommend trying them, I never thought I would really like a protein shake, but have been drinking them for breakfast for over a month now just because I like them  The orange flavor taste like an orange dream cycle :tongue2::w00t: Chike Nutrition - Best Tasting Meal Replacement Shake. Guaranteed. Pour, Shake, Drink & Go! I hope this helps! Good luck!!
  14. I'll have you and the other bandsters who are up tomorrow in my thoughts. Please keep us posted when you can. Take care! :w00t:
  15. Congrats Terri!! I'm glad everything went well and you are feeling so good :tongue2:
