  1. Congratulations !!!
  2. I started to make a list of all the places I wanted to eat before the surgery. But to be honest with you, the closer it got and the more I studied on the surgery I realized that I would not have to give these foods up. I would no longer be eating the quantities of them but I could still eat them. With that knowledge I was able to scale back. You are on an amazing journey, good luck to you!
  3. I'll join if you don't mind. A couple weeks ago I started walking. A few times last week I did 2.5 in the morning and 1.5 in the eve. It kinda wore me out but dang did i feel good! This morning I did a good brisk 30 min walk, i took a new route so i am not sure how far it was yet. My goal is to incorporate some sit ups and push ups in to the routine.
  4. Your not doing anything wrong. It takes time. In the 2 weeks following surgery I was committed to get below 280lbs. I tried and tried to no avail. Well i just hit 279.5 this morning 2 months after my surgery. This past week it seems like all of a sudden the weight has started to come off at a noticeable rate. Hang in there it will come:thumbup:
  5. Tom, I haven't thrown up yet. I have only been banded since 4/9/10 though. There has been no nausea either, the doc prescribed me some anti nausea meds for after surgery but didn't need them. The pain from being stuck, maybe a 5, but with every thing, people are different. Hope this helps, Wayne
  6. Morning Heather, I would call the doctors office and get there instructions. With that said, my doc requires no food 4 hours prior and no drink 30 min prior. Then its full liquids for 1-3 days then mushies for a day then normal. Hope this helps and good luck!
  7. Morning April Bandsters! I was banded on the 9th of April. Had my first fill four days ago. All went real smooth, found the port on the first try. She added 1.5 to the 1cc that was already there. ZERO restriction, but that is expected for the first few fills. I started a good work out routine last night that should get things kicked into gear. When they filled my they measured my waist and neck, 1.5" lost from my neck and 3" from my waist! Feels good. I really hope to get over this stall though, the scale hasnt moved for a couple of weeks. Take care, Wayno
  8. Thats good to know! I have been taking 800mg IBU's to take the edge off! Yikes

We can what if this to death, what if you were driving a blue sedan and the cops got a report that there was a bank robbery. The criminals got away in a blue sedan. You surely would be pulled over, most likely at the end of a gun to boot. I try not to leave my house with out ID. It makes sense to carry it.
  10. It seems like forever right now. But trust me when i tell you that it flies by! With all of the tests and different specialist you have to see it will take a couple months just for that. So hang on, start practicing and scour these forums.
  11. I wanted to keep it to myself. So I only told my Wife and my Mom. Telegraph, telephone, tell my wife:lol:! She blabbed to everyone, come to find out the only ones she didn't tell was my brother and my best friend! So after the surgery I didn't mind telling people, those that were left. I think in the beginning I was embarrassed and ashamed of myself. But I have had nothing but positive feed back from friends and coworkers. So tell, don't tell, it really only matters to you.
  12. I'm down for 20lbs. Go for my first fill on Friday, I hope it kicks me into high gear!
  13. Its weigh day, checking with you all. Weighed yesterday at 280. Doing better this week.
  14. Dr. Nirmul did my surgery on 04/09/2010. He is a good surgeon, I have had zero issues! ckesseler@hotmail.com, if you look at my profile there is a social group for Az bandsters. There are a bunch of us!
  15. I can vouch for that! My energy levels are through the roof right now! Hang in there it gets much better. i am four weeks post op as of today.
  16. And here i thought you were introducing a new social net working site! Cant help you with the Acne.
  17. I have an eclectic mix of music on my mp3 player. The more upbeat includes stuff from Nirvana, pearl jam, pink, green day, Buck Cherry, Linkin park, Janes addiction, Boys like girls, Candle box, theory of a dead man, Nickle back, social distortion, and some other stuff. I also have some upbeat Tobby Keith and other country artists. You can also find some styx, air supply, foreigner, and other slow stuff. That way what ever i am in the mood for I have it. Have fun! Leigha, in some cases I am sure in others more than likely stolen. I could see where working in the buiseness you would see alot. Not trying to start a fight, just pointing out where they get them. Tdslf1, If I was to guess it is because currently local LEO can not enforce the law on the federal level. The state adopts the law on the state level and they can enforce it. I DO NOT condone racial profiling. But I have to say that people have used that as a plat form to shout about, saying they will pull you over cause your brown. They cant, if you break the law, any color, then they have every right to. It is very hard to support and not support this bill. In one hand there is the law, they have come here illegally. There are legal means in which to get a work visa and be legal. On the hand it is splitting my great state! People are angry on both sides. I dont think a law should do that. There was a news report the week that this report broke. Ranch Markets in Phoenix was audited by ICE and had to fire 300 employees that did not have the proper or some one elses identifaction on file. Thats 300 super market jobs, decent paying jobs with benifits. The story that evening was all the legal U.S workers of every race applying for those jobs. Anyway, I will bow out of this discusion as they seem to get heated and causes bad blood. I come to this site to learn how to use my band and make friends. Sorry about the spelling, I am the worlds worst!

I dont like posting political stuff on this site cause you all are so angry at each other. But there seems to be some miss communication here. The bill does not allow for LEO's to stop some one based on the color of there skin. It allows the LEO to ascertain the persons immigration status once they have been detained or involved in illegal or suspect illegal activities, this includes civil and traffic violations. I also want to comment on Leighamasons comment about fake SS#. They are not fake, they are stolen. They use this number not only to work but for medical, loans and any thing else a SS# is required. Would suck to have your # stolen by a poor illegal just wanting to work and make a living for their family wouldnt it? They dont care that it leaves you with a huge mess to clean up. Here are the highlights of the bill taken from this web site: Documents For Bill indemnification A. No official or agency of this state or a county, city, town or other political subdivision of this state may limit or restrict the enforcement of federal immigration laws to less than the full extent permitted by federal law. G. A person who is a legal resident of this state may bring an action in superior court to challenge any official or agency of this state or a county, city, town or other political subdivision of this state that adopts or implements a policy or practice that limits or restricts the enforcement of federal immigration laws to less than the full extent permitted by federal law. If there is a judicial finding that an entity has violated this section, the court shall order that the entity pay a civil penalty of not less than one thousand dollars and not more than five thousand dollars for each day that the policy has remained in effect after the filing of an action pursuant to this subsection. H.
