  1. I feel like I dont have restriction right now either. I did feel good restriction though for the first 6 months or so. I feel like will power is definitely like 95% of the battle. The band can only taKe you so far, you have to have that committment. I have just followed the instructions of the bariatric center the best that I can.no one is perfect! And I exercise 5x/week. I also make sure to drink a lot of water and crystal light. Now, that my weight loss has slowed down A LOT, I have realized that this is a life long process and I need to just make all of these healthy habits part of who I am for the rest of my life. I had all of these goals of when I was going to hit my goal weight, and now my weight loss is painfully slow! So, I go on how I feel and how much better I like looking at myself in the mirror!

  2. I have been really good! I stopped losing the last three months and finally went in for a fill on Monday. I lost a total of 145 lbs in about 10 months. I will need to upload some pics soon! I hope to lose another 30 lbs or so to reach my goal!

  3. I have lost a total of 145 lbs now and I am a little over 9 months post-op! I am excited to see where I am at when I hit my one year bandaversary!

  4. I lost this much by pretty much following exactly what they told me to do! I work out 5 times a week for 45 minutes and I eat basically only healthy, high quality foods. I try to stay away from processed foods as much as I can. I also drink a lot of water. My weight loss has slowed down considerably. I may need a fill, but it will be the first time that I have needed one and I am now 8 months post-op. My advice it to look at this process as an all around change and work on EVERYTHING! So, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually (whatever that means to you personally!). Good luck and I hope that you are successful :)

  5. I think I felt fuller quicker in the beginning! I can eat a lot more than I did before (although I don't push it!). When I first got the surgery, I was NEVER hungry and I found eating to difficult because I had to blend everything or mash it up. It is important to start right away making healthy choices so that when you are able to eat more, you don't go over board. Listen to your body more than your head :)

  6. I was so happy to see your pics...I love that you are sexy and confident. I feel like we deserve that after all the of the work we have put into it!!!

  7. My diet consists of around 1000 calories/day. I don't follow a certain diet, but I have heard that Weight Watchers is a good introduction to eating correctly and learning what to eat and how much to eat. I eat protein first and do not eat foods high in fat or sugar. I also try to eat foods that are high in fiber. I really try to just eat to fuel my body, now especially, because I work out fairly intensely. But, to answer your question you absolutely have to watch what you eat after the surgery and eat healthy. It's scary because once you are about 4 months out you can basically eat everything. All of the bad foods will go down just as easily as the good foods so you need to be very mindful of your diet. I hope that helps :)

  8. No problem! In the morning I eat All Bran with Splenda and skim milk. For lunch I usually have a salad with some kind of protein with the dressing on the side. I just dip my fork in the dressing and use an incredibly small amount. For dinner I will eat a chicken breast and veggies or maybe very lean ground turkey with no sugar added pasta sauce with veggies. For a snack I like to eat the 94% fat free popcorn (usually they suggest waiting to eat popcorn until you are 6 months out) or string cheese. Greek yogurt is a wonderful snack or breakfast because you can find kinds that are fat free and just packed with protein. I really do eat a large variety of foods but those are my staples!

  9. So, I have lost 145 lbs and I am 13 months post op. I finally had my very first fill on Monday! I'm back on liquids and I forgot how much it sucked! Let's hope I can get off these last 30 lbs :)

  10. Thank you :) Most importantly is that I feel great. I wish you the best of luck or hopefully you have had success on your journey!

  11. Thank you for the pic comment! I am excited for you to get started in your journey too. I looked at people who have had the success that I have had when I first started the journey as inspiration. I am humbled by all of the nice things people say because I always hoped, but always had a little doubt that I would be as successful as I have been. I am proof though if you do what you are supposed to do, you will be a big success. Keep in touch! :)

  12. Thank you for the pic comments. I have followed a diet that consists of between 900-1200 calories/day and I work out 5x/week. I just made a huge committment to a healthy lifestyle and it is paying off! I am not quite as strict as I was before, but I am still losing slowly. I have about 30 pounds more to go to hit my goal weight! Let me know if you have any questions! I wish you the best of luck :)

  13. Thank you so much for the support! I truly hope that you are achieving the goals that you have set for yourself. Hope we keep in touch :)

  14. Thank you! I hope everything goes wonderfully with your surgery. Stay positive! It is always difficult at first both physically and mentally, but trust me, it gets so much better. I am so excited for you to start Zumba! It is a blast and the most fun I have had working out. It helps the whole process of getting healthier and makes you feel happier! Keep me updated on how your surgery goes and please let me know if you need any encouragement or have any questions!

  15. Thanks for the friend request! I love how successful you have been. I am down 125 lbs 7 months post-op. I hope to be at goal by 1 year. Do you do P90x? I saw the pull-up bar :) As soon as I can do a real push up I am going to start the P90x!

  16. Thanks for the friend request! I'm so excited for you to get banded. It seems like you have a great personality and it looks like you have a lot of friends who will be supportive. Let me know if you have any questions and keep us updated!

  17. Thanks for the friend request! We both started in the same place with the exact same goal of losing 180 lbs. It seems like a big task, but it has helped me to set little goals. Keep in touch...I hope you do wonderfully :)

  20. Thanks for the photo comment! I finally feel sexy which is amazing :) Best of luck to you!!!

  21. Thanks for the pic comment! I have found that counting the calories of the healthy food that I eat and exercise have kept me going. I am kind of stuck now and I am considering a fill. But, I continue to exercise and that is so motivating and I feel so great after doing it. It is just very hard to get started and to get off the majority of the excess weight that can hold you back from exercise.

  22. Thanks for the picture comment! Congratulations on your weight loss. Hitting that 100lbs mark is very exciting :)
