Hi everyone. Here is my quick story. Banded Oct 12th. Felt great! Got first fill Nov 12th felt 3 ccs in a 10 cc band. Felt pretty good for a couple weeks some restriction but not where I would like. 2 weeks into fill became very restricted and gassy, stomach pains, painful burps. I would almost pb or slime on everything. Dr. totally unfilled me and thought possible gall bladder. He was right had emergency gall bladder surgery one week ago. Got out of the hospital the next day and felt okay I was able to eat without the pbing or sliming. Then 2 days after I got out of the hospital I came down with a gastro intestinal bacteria and got really sick ended up going back into the hospital for two days. Since then I feel really restricted. Not pbing or sliming just feel like I can't eat much more then 1/2 cup. I can get water down fine. My question is does everyone think I am okay or is this restricted feeling with no fill just from all the trauma in my belly from the gall bladder surgery and bacteria? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks everyone. I did softs yesterday and today and feeling much better. I might wait even another day or two to eat solids.

Hi everyone. Please help me. Here is what is going on. On Sunday I had an issue with some pizza getting stuck, this is the first time thats happened to me. I ended up sliming that day since then it hurts to eat and almost everything gets stuck. I didn't think my band was to tight I was filled almost two weeks ago, so the stuck happened a week after the fill. I am wondering what I should do here. This is great for my weight loss but I am starting to feel a little weak. Let me know if anyone has a thought. Thanks Jodi

If anyone could help me I sure would appreciate it. I recieved the results of my echo and they said my heart was functioning all within the normal ranges and that my valves all opened and closed correctly and there was no leakage but it was noted that one seemed stiff. It also said to follow up in a year or two. Then it said congratulations on your reassuring heart test. I'm confused I don't know what this means. If anyone has any insight please let me know.

My husband and I were banded on the 12th. Our surgeon required caths. We both got them in and taken out why we were under. No problems.

you are the only one who can know. Once you made that decision you need to feel confident about it and not second guess yourself. Does he have support meetings? Can you meet with other people he's done the surgery on? That was helpful for me.

Is it just that you don't like the doctor or is he not competent. If its just a clash of personalities I would still have him do it for the greater good of your health. If you truely think he is incompetent then I wouldn't let him do it for nothing. Some doctors especially specialists just aren't personable, they seem all business. But if they are good at what they do all business is alright.

I am home. Hubby and I are doing good. Just 24 hours out and really d0ing well all that hurts is the gas and bloat.

I decided not to tell my co workers I was going to be banded. I just asked for time off for a medical procedure and a few days to heal. Now the whole place is talking behind my back. A friend of mine said people are asking her if I am having Gastric Bypass. It pisses me off that they right away assume that. Don't fat people have other procedures. Arrghh. I decided if people must know I will tell them. I said I am having a vestectomy. That shut em up.

Thanks everyone for the congrats. I got what might be a silly question but maybe someone can help me answer it. Actually its two questions. 1. What will I feel like immeadiately after I wake up? And the next day? 2. After time goes by can you feel you have something differnt inside you, I guess I'm wondering if you stretch or bend can you feel that port? Thanks
