  1. Yes Judy! Alaska was awesome! At first I was excited to go and then lost some of my enthusiasm. Then when we reached Seattle WA, I got excited again, it was like nothing I had ever imagined!!! The only challenge I had WAS with eating! I could not eat anything hardly, but actually gained 4 lbs on the trip! When Cortizone is released into our bodies from stress sometimes, our stomachs swell, thus tightening the band around it, I think I had a too tight fill also just before I went on the trip, so I threw up a lot, when throwing up, it makes the stomach swell and the band tight, so when I got back from Alaska I went in and had .04 cc taken out, and lost about 6 lbs! So I am back on track now! The food was awesome by the way, what I got to stay down! LOL This month is my one year Bandiversary, I have lost 91 lbs so far and very happy and contented with the band, and I believe I will lose more in the next couple of years. Have fun and be sure to post photos for us to view.

  2. Yes PC is hot in the Summers and sometimes the sweltering Hot is too much when you are not use to it, I too love the AC on the hottest of days, right now the beach breeze blows away the heat, that is a great way to get a sunburn, cause you don't know you are getting the heat, loved it grew up here all my life, lived in Hawaii once, but would not trade these Panhandle Beaches for those in Hawaii, love the pure crystal white beaches we have here. Have a great day, down two lbs already! Yeah!

  3. Yes, we have always wanted the Alaska Cruise, and my Brother in law and sister just celebrated an Anniversary and he has a birthday in May. So this is the year we go! I bought some hiking boots and I am going to start breaking them in now! I feel so much better and now I can really do some of my "Bucket List" LOL Have a great day!

  4. You are doing great and look great! You are losing in the right places to start with, I have been banded for 5 months today! Lost 57 and 1/2 lbs, down from a 24W to 14 R. Feels great! Keep up the good work, keep smiling it helps motivate you! Be happy cause you are on the right track now! Keep in Touch.

  5. You are so right Mechelle! I get so hung up when the scales don't move! I want to blame myself, but the body is a funny thing, sometimes it has a mind of its own, I am not giving in or up this time. I am going to increase my activity level this week to see if I can push more weight off!

  6. You are so right Xavier, that blasted scale is just glass and metal! I would kick it, but it would hurt! LOL It is still moving in the right direction, so I can be thankful for that I guess. Thanks for your encouragement, keep it coming! I am with you Best money I ever spent... I love the band too.

  7. You are so right, each person is different, I know just one thing, I am happy for something to be lost, weather it be lbs or inches, I just say GO AWAY! You are looking great!

  8. You are so right! I ALWAYS appreciate your comments and your encouragment! I have lots to be so thankful for and I just as anyone else get down and out, but I just look up and then look around and I can see others struggling, just starting and not knowing this new path we are on and I get so humbled. I had a slight unfill yesterday, liquids for 48 hours and then I ate, the food stayed down and I am FULL so that is what I needed. Mr Dr. is so understanding! I so love him and his staff and I am so blessed with that they are caring and want the best for my life. I am grateful for coming this far.

  9. You are so welcome, I know this is priority in my life, but we do experience LIFE as it is and as it was before the band, and we have to FIT into our lives. Good for you, what difference will a week have, when we have the rest of out lives with the band? Have fun and enjoy! Praying for you to WIN!

  10. You are so welcome! I was apprehensive about the first fill, a little scared because I did not quite know what to expect. But it was ok, not bad at all and so helpful to curb my appetite more. I felt full faster and begin to really drop the lbs. Good Luck with it, and God Bless you!

  11. You are so welcome. The hardest thing is to Do Good Anyway. Sometimes when things get difficult for me, I keep saying that over and over. It is what makes you feel so superior in the end, when you can walk away from an episode and had the upper hand by not giving in to what others want and expect you to do and to react badly, but you did good to them, so they did now know where to put that action. God is a teacher and we are just learning to lean on him. He is helping me through life and this past year with the band, I have grown even stonger and closer to him.

  12. You continue to amaze me! You look great! My wish for you is to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Keep thos good photos and reports coming!

  13. You have to go in and click Avatar to change a profile pic! We have lost about the same! Doing Great Feeling Great! Yeah Success feels good. It is 8 months down for me, and you are only two weeks before my surgery, so I think you are 8 1/2 months out only too! You had your band on my birthday!!!! Keep up the good work!

  14. You look amazing Renee! Thanks for checking in! I have started a Blog at www.thegoldendayz.blogspot.com, please follow me on my journey! The weather here is most beautiful all the time, but a little crazy lately. I would die in 12 degrees, it was 22 in Tallahassee, Florida last night! We live in the Panhandle, near Destin, Panama City Beach and Pensacola Beach, White Sand Beaches, just a beautiful place, but a bit cold for this time of the year! I have been watching you when you post your photos you look amazing!

  15. You look great! How much have you lost total? Are you getting use to living with the Band? I am so happy I did this. But it is a LIFE thing! I feel wonderful, exercising now at a local gym. Getting there, lost 60 lbs as of today.

  16. You will do great too! I still look at all the photos of those who started before me and my goodness they look slim. See I still see myself as fat! It is a hard thing to change the mind, but you can't change the body if you don't change the mind. I have a long way to go, but now I am enjoying the journey getting there! Keep us all posted

  17. You will never believe this! I TOO have a tipped port, the Doctor could not feel it so he took me to ex-ray to find the top of it, and then raised me up on the table, (actually rotated me on the table, until it was in a good position) and go the fill in! I only got .6 cc's, but he said that was good, and I hit Onderland this morning! Took a photo of the Scales HA HA! I was so happy, cause it was the first time in 15 years! I am so glad for you, you know 34 lbs is an aweful lot of FAT, If you put three 10 lb bags of sugar and one 4 lb bag on the table they would look like a lot and just try to pick them all up in a garbage bag, and they would be heavy, you could not tote them around all day without being exhausted! You are doing great! I you are going to do better now! I am so proud for you! I love my LapBand!

  18. Your album is amazing! You really have surpassed the old you and now are a new woman! Thanks for showing us! Hawaii is wonderful isn't it? Went there on my 25th wedding anniversary! Congrats.

  19. Your post was so right on, I do hate to waste too, money or food??? So I ate string cheese today on the ride back home with about six ladies. They wanted to stop at an all you can eat Country Southern Buffet, I stopped with them but you could not order off a menu only eat the buffet for $11.00 I KNEW I could not eat but a small childs plate of anything anyway, so decided not to eat. Then stopped on the way home this evening and ate two crispy tacos on the way home by myself, relaxed!

  20. Your welcome, you have inspired me to start to work on a Blog too. It looks like such a great project!
