  1. Hope you are doing better, read my post on July Bandsters, not sure you got the reply about what I am eating! Lots of Fish, Shrimp, Chicken and Salads, High Protein and Whey Protein Shakes, and I joined a Gym to tone! Losing and almost to ONEderland! Below 200! My New Years Goal! Best of Luck!

  2. Hey did you make in to 199 yet? I still need to get under 200 and working hard, but it is hard. Once I do that I think it will be smooth sailing from then on. I did great on the Cruise, cheated a couple of times. Ate all I wanted and when I was full I had to stop! It actually hurt to eat anymore, then I went and danced! Then to the Shows at night and on to the casino. Watched my sister, she won $150.00.

  3. Hi when were you banded? You look amazing in your profile photo! Here we go~all the way to goal weight in 2010! Happy New Year!

  4. God bless and keep you! We must keep positive attitudes because we will become that which we dwell upon; i so dwell upon becoming thin and a better person so that i may serve my lord better and healthier to be around a lot longer to do so.

  5. Hi There! Back from the cruise and through with Christmas! No loss no Gain from the cruise. But Christmas was a different story, I gained 2 lbs. and then I lost back down and now I am at 204.8! Hoping to get to Onderland by New Year! January will be a good month for us.

  6. Hi hope you are doing great, looking forward to a New Year! How much weight have you lost and did you weather Christmas allright?

  7. You are doing great and look great! You are losing in the right places to start with, I have been banded for 5 months today! Lost 57 and 1/2 lbs, down from a 24W to 14 R. Feels great! Keep up the good work, keep smiling it helps motivate you! Be happy cause you are on the right track now! Keep in Touch.

  8. So sorry to hear about your home back in Oct. I lived through it in 1989, it is hard. Love your new head shot! Hope you have a Happy New Year and things begin to look up, I will keep you in my Prayers!

  9. Happy New Year to you. Hope your Christmas was good, I do have to say, I have had the Apple Pie and Ice Cream! But, It was my present to me, and I worked my A** off at the Gym tonight trying to get it off! I am getting another fill on the 7th of Jan., I can tell I am hungrier right before my fills! Hope you are doing good.

  10. I love that I can "Move" now and not get out of breath! I had trouble with osteoarthritis before the band and taking off the weight. I was taking expensive Celebrex for Pain in my legs and feet, and wearing high heels was out of the question anymore, my feet swelled so bad and my ankles. God it seems so long ago and it has only been five months tomorrow! I have not taken ANY meds since. You will get your fill, and you will learn to live with the fills and see your weight start coming off, don't get discouraged, just take it a day at a time. Plan your menu one week in adv., no more, when you are through with that week it will just roll into the next week. I DO weigh everyday! I do go to LapBand.com and log my food, moods, exercise everyday. It keeps me on track, and that was something I NEVER did or wanted to do before my band. I went from size 24 W pants to 16 R now(jeans) Other styles of pants 14's! You look happy & I know you will do well, keep in touch as you go along.

  11. Hi mary, you look great! I feel the same way, when I get to a 10-12 size, I may want to stop taking off the weight, I don't want to lose all my butt! LOL My husband says I will have a case of the Gone A**, he might be right, but for now, I like losing every month! (And not gaining it back!)

  12. Thanks Wonderwoman2009! You were banded on my Birthday! I turned 56! How about that? I have about 40 lbs to go to my goal, worked out tonight at a local gym I joined a couple of months ago, I can tell it really helps. It was hard at first tho! I am dead set on getting to my goal next year, lets keep the Journey going, best wishes to you.

  13. So I am confused, did you get banded yet? I hope so and that all went well for you. You already look great and have such a pretty face in your profile. It took two months for me to get that chin back! LOL Have a Merry Christmas and a Happier (leaner) New Year! God Bless You!

  14. You continue to amaze me! You look great! My wish for you is to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Keep thos good photos and reports coming!

  15. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

  16. Hi! Glad to add you as a friend, we need all we can get! I really think this site saved my life! I would not have gotten this information from the hospital or the Doctor who performed my surgery. THEY simply do not know how we feel, because they have not had the surgery themselves.

  17. Merry Christmas and a Happier New Year to you! I am looking forward to a year of getting closer to my goal weight, and feeling better. My wish for all is to have health, the best asset of all! Bless You!

  18. I hope you have a wonderful cruise, after the third fill you are so full. You will probably lose weight on the cruise. They do serve high quality foods and give you so many good choices. Whatever you do, have fun! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

  19. (second part)ever had before. I also changed my life spiritually! Walking closer to God than ever before, I have a new clarity. I feel healthier too. I just started to a new Gym in town, I was sore to start, but I am getting use to it. I walked a mile three times a week to build up to the Gym experience. Now I am down 51 lbs.

  20. Hi, got your reply to the post. I put a Quote over my sun visor in the car that tells me every day " If you want to change your body, you must first change your mind" I slip every now and then, but get right back on track! The head still tells me I WANT that! But my stomach stops me with the LapBand, I am very happy about that. And you like me, did not put this weight on overnight, it took many years and many miles and things going on in our lives. I was a stress eater, and I LOVE to cook, but limit myself in the kitchen now. Now when I am stressed I just don't want to eat and I drink Protein drinks all day. I don't want to cook when I am depressed either. A total turn around. I was 259, and knew I had to stop and get that band! I did and I am never looking back, My whole life changed! I wear makeup now EVERYDAY, got my hair cut and frosted and a new younger style, new clothes too, what fun shopping! Had to get new underwear twice! LOL I had more confidence than I had

  21. :thumbup:HI To get back with you and try to help you on my diet for a typical day, mornings, I have 1/2 scoop "Body Fortress" protein powder with 8 oz skim milk, my vitamin, I check my first morning urine around 7:00 AM to see that I am in Ketosis. Any Ketosis is good, just not negative. Then I weigh myself "in the nude", clothing can vary in weight. I have a couple pcs bacon, and eggbeaters with white cheese.

Lunch, I have Crystal Lite and water. 1 Can of Vienna Sausage, 5 Saltines. (lite lunch, high protein, low carbs)

Night, I have 4-6 oz of Baked Chicken Breast or Fish, with Salad and Ranch Dressing. You could have Romain Lettuce and Ceasar Dressing. (no more that two tblps dressing-Carbs!)

All foods can be purchased at Wal-Mart and Ketone Sticks. If you are not burning Fat, you are burning Carbs, you want to burn Fat, keep with your water, and eat foods that contain no more than 50 carbs a day, and 60 Grams of protein (MIN on Protein, you can have more of Protein)

  22. Wow how encouraging! I hope I can find the vision to see myself as slender as you have become. I am 55 lbs from my goal. Had my surgery 7-29-09 and I have lost 45 lbs. Just started Zumba! Have you had a Tummy Tuck or anything? You just look Amazin. Congrats I know you are proud as well as you should be. Keep up the good work, and thanks for the motivation.

  23. Hi Sage, I love your pics, really show you have lost a lot of weight. When did you have your surgery? I had mine in July on the 29th. I have lost a total of 45 lbs as of today. 13 weeks, and I am blown away. I went to a Funeral today and some people I saw last summer did not even recognize me! It was wonderful. I wore a size 3x shirt and shorts to the outing last summer and swam in it, Now this summer, I will wear a swimsuit again. Good luck to you, keep me posted ok?

  24. Hi! Just checking in to see how you are coming along! Hope all is going well. I have had my third fill and it was very tight, i thought i'd have to get some fluid removed, but i got better after a week. Two deaths in my family, in a week, going to the last funeral tomorrow. I started to the gym on wed am. I am sore, but going back tomorrow for more! Lol it will get better. Lost 45 lbs so far!

  25. Well today I threw up for the first time. I tried eating a peice of Steak of the Grill, it was tough, and I should have spit it out! I was also in a hurry, never do that Again! Thanks for the comments luckyfive101, as of today I am down 48 lbs from my pre-op diet before the surgery. I am so pleased with the LapBand. It is so strange to see people you have not seen in 40 years and they tell you that you haven't changed. I still was so much heavier than when I was in school, but it felt great to hear the compliments. I have another photo shoot for the hospital in 30 days. I hope to look good then, going on the Mexico Cruise on the 26th, Thanksgiving Day. I am going to wear a slinky little black dress!!! Can't wait. My third fill is tight, so I am having to work with it. Sapphire and Viney I hope all is going well with you both too and that your getting Slimmer!
