Now I am going to try hard not to weigh every day.....you know how the scale moves up and down so :thumbup: AND I get my first fill tomorrow so I am hoping that will get me moving a bit quicker!

My first fill is tomorrow............I am nervous!

If it were me I would NOT go. At 2 weeks post op I was still very weak....remember by that time you will have been without calories for a long time. I dont know what your pe op diet was? Mine was 3 weeks liquids so 2 weeks after my surgery I was on my 5th week of liquids and feeling very poor energy wise.

OK so what the heck did dementedfrog say? the post is gone? I get the jist of it but would have loved to have seen the actual post!

Finally! I have made it to onederland.....it took what seems like FOREVER! YAHOO! I just had to share my news, I have not weighed this low since college! WAHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure your fridge and pantry are stocked with good things...popcisicles, jello, iceopure (or any clear liquid protein) ... do you have a recliner? If you do get it ready to sleep in the first few nights WAY more comfortable.

I ate more than I should have but so much less than I would have without the band. For that I am thankfull!

Oh I feel your pain. I had very low energy for about 2 weeks, the third week I felt good and now my 4th week I am back to normal. Its going to be a tough first month if you are anything like me, the worse part was the low energy and the gas, the runs!

Hey all! Happy Day after Christmas! I go for my first fill on Monday and I am so nervous and excited! I am ready to jump start this weight loss and loose the rest of my weight!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes Grandma is right! I have problems when I eat to fast every time AND I dont even have my first fill yet.

Thats just great I hope I get great results like that too....did you have a liquid diet the day of the fill? And by the way where in So Cal are you? I am in San Diego.

Hello fellow October Bandster Buddies! I was banded 11.25 one month ago today and have lost 35.5 pounds. I go get my first fill this Monday and am a tad nervous about it but excited too as I am hoping it will jump start my loosing. I lost 25.5 before and only 10 after the band .... not sure why only 10pounds down in a month of mostly liquids, I'll be anxius to ask the doc this on Monday. I was hoping to get to onederland by now but I have been about 200 pounds for about 2 weeks.

Hmmmm how many fills have you had? My husband was banded on 10.21 and is able to eat a smal silce of pizza with no problem. I was banded 11.25 and can also get a very small slice down just eating slowly and chewing a lot. Funnny I guess some can eat anything just in smaller amounts and some have problems?????

Oh God I know how you feel! I am nervous for my first fill too! I go this Monday, I potponed it once becaue like you I felt restricted already...now a week later I still feel a bit but not as much. I feel however like I am 99% healed from the surgery now and thats what I wanted. I already had one stuck episode with chicken without a fill so I will have to be super carefull....how are u feeling now???

Well I weighed in this morning at 200 even AGAIN ... I did not make my goal of 199 by Christmas Eve HOWEVER I am still thrilled, no blessed to have had the opportunity to be banded. I started out about 10 years ago at 310 lost some on my own and started the Lap Band journey at 235.5 and am now 200 so I can not complain. This years "resolution" of loosing weight will happen as it already is. I am positive, happy, and know that I will live longer & be stronger. I will be able to live a good long healthy life with my family.....my family whom I have done all of this for, my husband, best friend, soul mate, lover, saviour and my son, my angel from God. I am a lucky woman.......Merry Christmas everyone!

Why will GB work better? You still have to watch what you eat and exercise? I wish you the best of luck whatever you decide, to me GB is a big deal, big surgery, big pain, altering your body....but then some would say the same of the band and I have that? How about sending us your food diary....just post a few days of what you ate ... say Sun, Mon and today so far.....I'd love to help if I can. Not that I have golden ideas but Id be happy to try with you.

What happened? So sorry you have to deal with another surgery but why so soon? You just got your band, why are you getting a GB so fast?

Were you just banded? What stage are you in on your post op diet? Eggs are one of the first foods you can eat.

I was banded 11/25 lost some then got down to 200.6 and was so excited! But then gained 3 pounds? Why ?? Beats the shit out of me just out bodys adjusting I suppose. Its a week later now and I am down to 200 again so just hang in!! It's not going to be fast weight loss like the sleeve or bypass!

one more pound and I have made my goal! 199 by Christmas eve!

OK I need to chime in on this thread for sure because my husband is the most amazing husband EVER :ohmy: He was banded in October and I was banded in November :thumbup: together we are an unstopable team, he took perfect care of me after my surgery.....he even brough in 2 dozen red roses into the recovery room to symbolize our new start in life together! I adore him :mad:
