Or why dont you just eat what you want? Have whatever it is that you are craving in a small portion and see if that makes you feel better. As long as you dont eat the whole cake......eat a piece!

I am 4 days post op as well and felt a bit of hunger yesterday but it passed, and today I am not hungry at all. I can do protein shakes starting today so I am happy to be out of the clear phase.

Do you keep a food diary? Look back at the past 2 weeks, maybe you just ate a bit more without realizing it...I know it happens to me a lot.

And then there was my husband who took about 4 weeks to feel better after his band. HE had a super hard time, lots of pain, lots of discomfort, lots of pain meds and lots of complications as well. I was bandes last Wednesday (4 days ago) and feel fine, a bit of shoulder pain still and some gas but thats about it.

Yaya, I beat the hunger / or wanting food by eating popsicles. I got some Bryers sugar free today and they are awesome....I have had like 5 of them today. Right now I just want to eat because its looking and smelling good, but the popcocle fills me up and the cold is good fpr the stiches. I had a hiatal hernia repar as well so have a few extra stices to take care of. I am now 3 days post op and my biggest problem is the gas in my bowls, TMI sorry but I have such bad gas and diareah its horrrible. The gas pain in my shoulders is better but I still can not take a deep breath without it hurting. I am looking forward to my shake tomorrow morning.

Oh ya baby! Pudding! Fat Free Sugar Free jello pudding, vannila is my fave! Yumo! Cant wait!

I was banded the day after you (Wednesday) and I feel much better than I thought I would. I am on clear liquids till tomorrow (Sunday) and then I will be alowed to have full liquids, so that will add protein drinks, no fat milk, yogurt, pudding and the clear I am on now too. I get full liquids for 2 weeks and have no intention of rushing it. I might feel better on the outside, but on the inside I have stiches that need to heal. I only have this one chance to heal right...I didnt get this far to mess it up because I wanted to eat. I do kinda want to eat right now but I am not hungry at all.

I have a clothes rack too! But an elliptical is WAY too much for me right now, I even know that! I will slowly build back up to that...I was at a point where I ws doing about 30 min/ 4 miles that was about a year ago....now I will just walk, slowly around the block to move around. Today is my last day of clear liquids, tomorrow I get shakes! WhooHoo! Never thought Id be so excited to get to drink a protein shake.

ya I am tender for sure and I am sure it has a lot to do with the hernia...how many stiches did you get in yours?

Liquids, lets see I drank 2 isopures a vitamin water maybe 8oz of chicken broth and a couple popcicles...whats that? like 70oz or so? And its so hard, I want to drink faster but dont feel like my tummy can take it.

Hi Amy! We were both banded the same day. How are you feeling now? I am hoping that my gas pain is gone that was horrible, now I am just kindof in a dull ache all over but no bad pain. I was also self pay so am trying to be super good as well, I also had a bad hernia repaired so I have a few extra stiches to take care of.

OK so here I am, banded on Wednesday and feeling so much better. I took a short walk around the block today and it was nice to get some air but felt kindof dizzy afterwards. So...just trying to drink water..its super hard to do now for some reason!

ya...not running just yet. I have had some super bad gas pain today.....I suppose I just need to get through a few days and it will be better right?

Hi Happy, I am home! Got home today at about 5.30pm and have been feeling bad till now (its 10.30pm) and I finally feel like I am comming out of it. Dr. Horgan was as sweet as ever....Mary a doll and Mary even had her Dad with her whos a physcologist and watched the surgery. I got sent home with liquid vicoden ad it seems to be keeping the edge off....walking around a bit back and forth in my bedroom tonight so tomorrow I will try to get outside and do a few blocks. Fell super sore but haning in! WIll write again tomorrow, just wanted to say hello :thumbup: I AM BANDED!

Todays the day I will get my band. Wow....I am in a surreal place, not too excited or frieked very peacefull actually.....I pray for a quick and easy surgery a short recovery and send thanks out to all of my board buddies for helping me through it all.

AHHHHHHHHHHH It's official! I just paid my bill $15,500 in full.....surgery is tomorrow at 12.30pm!! Holy S__t!

Isn't it surreal how you can bond with s "stranger" on the Internet? I have had a few experiences meeting people on the Internet. My first was my husband....yes we met on line, but its a true love story we were meant to be. I also met a friend in a chat room once, we had something very personal in common so we emailed forever and did finally meet, to my surprise she was a total Hollywooder! Famous and everything. Now this web site, total strangers in one way but the closest friends in another way. My very best friends whom I have known for over 20 years know nothing about what I am doing this Wednesday but the thousands of people that read my posts here know very private details about me. I really am a very private person, but somehow posting anonymously is great....I have met one banded buddy from this board she has kids my sons age and we live close so we have met at the park a few times, we are strangers but have one very common unique bond. And HappyHome....we still need to meet up for that Protein drink!

Hey! I am getting banded the day after you...this Wednesday! I am getting nervous too!! AND SOOOOOOEXCITED!

My husband knows. He is my best friend and soul mate of course he know, and also he was banded last month. His parents and my parents know and thats it. No one else will ever know, when they notice my weight loss it will never come up. I dont need anyone elce's opinion, I have had enough oppinions about my weight from other people to last me 10 lifetimes!

Mark, my husband is diabetic and was banded last month. He is using like a 1/4 of what he use to shoot up in insulin. A BIG difference. No more 350's and HIGH readings on his sugar kit. He has gone to low a few times, be carefull right after you are banded because if you crash you cant gulp down the sugar like you used too to raise it up.
