  1. I had to use milk of magnesia a couple of times. Now I eat Fiber one cereal in the am. just 1 ounce and 5 dried apricots. I am not having the nausea but I did have the sluggish colon. I am three weeks post surgery.
  2. I just wanted to let those who just had surgery that I am three weeks post and feeling really good. It took a while but my stamina, stomach woes, and soreness has improved dramatically. Banded Aug. 13th and eating soft food.:smile2:
  3. I saw my doctor yesterday. Day 11 post surgery. I still had a distended abdomen so he took he off protein shakes and onto mushy foods. Try eggs whites and tablespoon of applesauce. Much better today. Tried yogurt and oatmeal. I lost 11 pounds so I was happy. Walking everyday and the discomfort comes and goes. All in all, doing pretty well by now.
  4. tell me more about the costco protein shots
  5. I'm on day 5 and gas pains are bad from protein shakes. I was using soy and switch to whey today. My dr. had me take milk of magnesia last day. So I cleaned out this morning. I think it helped some.
  6. Mine were glued too. Three small incisions and belly button. They are still bruised on day 5. Good to know they will peel off
  7. I got banded on Aug 13th. Doing pretty well. Having trouble with digesting the protein shakes. They cause me to have gas, and a distended abdomen. I drink broths, V-8, sugar free popsicles. Miso soup has been good too. Today protein shake was Worldwide from Trader Joe's. It did better than Genisoy or Muscle Milk. It is tough to get in 60 grams of protein each day. I can't wait for the soft diet to start because I think I will feel so much better with those types of protein.
