still having gas pains too

I got banded on Aug 13th. Doing pretty well. Having trouble with digesting the protein shakes. They cause me to have gas, and a distended abdomen. I drink broths, V-8, sugar free popsicles. Miso soup has been good too. Today protein shake was Worldwide from Trader Joe's. It did better than Genisoy or Muscle Milk. It is tough to get in 60 grams of protein each day. I can't wait for the soft diet to start because I think I will feel so much better with those types of protein.

you probably will, prgb. Remember the focus right now is keeping your stomach "still" so the sutures can heal. Once you advance to mushies or soft foods, I think it'll be easier for you to get that protein in.

Congrats on your on band. I was banded on March 30 and I am still having many problems with gas. I walk around with GAS-X in my purse today. Good luck and I hope everything will work out for you. Sounds like you are on the right track now.:D
