  1. This is also why I love this site, because it lets me know I am totally not alone. I can really relate concerning the eating bread. I would at least have a hamburger for Mcdonalds once a week and I have not been to mcdonalds for my self since March. I miss bread like I would miss a love one leaving me. I do not think I really understood just how much work I would have to do to make this work, and although I am happy with my choice I just sometimes question my on judgement. Everything will come in time we just have to keep each other encouraged.
  2. I have been in at this point. As a matter of fact I have just gotten out of this position. I had my surgery March 30th and in the beginning everthing was great I walked everyday and I have lost about 50 pounds. I have not been on the site in about maybe 2 or 3 months, I had a few family to die and others things started happening. I went back to my old habits, I could not eat as much as I use to but I was eating all of the wrong things. I would again 2 pounds loose to 2 pounds. I :thumbup:finally kind of snapped out of it with a whole lot of prayer and getting ready for my family cruise for Thanksgiving. Things will work out and remember it is not a magic wand and life stills happen it depends on how we handle it. Good Luck and Peace and Blessing.
  3. Yes I had the same thing happen, but I was hurting so bad I ended up at the hospital. Once I got to the er they did a x-ray and said everything was ok just take it easy. I wanted another 3 weeks and it has been smooth sailing from there. Take it slow and easy for a while and it will all work out. 4. Please keep me posted I am also set to go on a cruise during the week of Thanksgiving with my family. I have heard about all the food and I am very scared. But I am sure I will stay on course of my goal or at least I will pray really hard. Have fun. Crystal:thumbup: surgery date 03-30-09 Weight date of surgery/ 218 Current weight/ 175 Goal weights / 140
  5. Congrats on your on band. I was banded on March 30 and I am still having many problems with gas. I walk around with GAS-X in my purse today. Good luck and I hope everything will work out for you. Sounds like you are on the right track now. Crystal Start weight was- 218 Surgery 03/30/09-209 Current weight -177 Goal weight is -140:wub:
  6. What sucks, the most is that I thought had done all of the research but still feel I did not know everything. I did not learn about banderst hell until joining this site. I thought this would be something that not only would help me eat less but would also curve that craving and that is not what happen. I am very happy I got the surgery and I have lost 35 pounds from 03/30/09. But this is really hard work. When they say it is just a tool that is what is meant you have to really be ready to loose weight. It is slow but steady.
  7. I would not feel defeated, but I do understand your feelings. I was denied twice before I was approved. I kept trying but my sleep test results is what sealed my deal. They say a 40 or over BMI or under 40 with atleast two problems. I was borderline high blood pressure and lower back problems, but it was not until my sleep test came back they approved me in a week. Good luck and do not give up.:wink2:
  8. I have the Aetna Choice and my out of pocket expenses was 550.00. I was banded on 03/30/09. I hope that helped a little:thumbup: Surgery weight-218 Current weight-192 Goal Weight-140
  9. He stated people use preparation H to shrink the tissue in your bottom, so if is use to tighten the skin while the wrap makes you sweat. So you are loosing the inches and the gel is tighten the skin. And you really do not have to do alot of work out to sweat. I have lost another 2 pounds.:bored: Surgery weight-218 (3-30-09) Current weight-192 Goal weight- 140
  10. Excess skin is also one of my biggest worries also, I spoke with a trainer who gave me alittle tip. He told me to rub my big problem areas twice a day with "Preparation H" and when I go walking wrap myself with plastic wrap it has really done wonders. I have all my friends wrapping there selfs up. But my double chin is down to one and my thighs and arms are tighten up. So it is helping me, maybe while you are in the loosing stages you can try this or some time of firming cream just to get a little help. Well I have shared my beauty secert to for the day. Good luck (smile) Surgery Weight-218 (3-30-09) Current Weight -194 Weight Goal-140:wub:
  11. I total agree Bandest Hell was hell. I was banded on the 30th of March, and did not have my first fill until May 23rd and came away from surgery with nothing. It was bad. But I made it thru, my second fill is June 23rd. and I can not wait. Good luck and keep up the good work. Surgery weight-218 Current weight-192 Weight Goal-140
  12. I have had a couple of episodes, but I only had one time a little blood came up. And it was the bread for me. I am unable to get any time of bread down at all. But I do agree with the others if you do not feel better I would call my dr. just to make sure. Be careful
  13. Just wanted everyone to know I had my first fill yesterday. It went really well, they put 5 cc in and it felt a little weird. I can kind of fell alittle change when I eat. But the great news was I have lost a total of 26 pounds. My surgery was 03/30/09 and I did the 2week liquid diet before. So I am feeling really good right now. I hope all is well with everyone.:)
  14. I was banded on March 30th in Carrollton by Dr Frank Veninga. He was great and his staff also was wonderful. They worked with me for about a year in half through illness and 2 insurance companies inorder to get me approved. Good luck and I hope everything work out with you.:mad2:
