  1. I have made some great steps of change in the last 6mo. I know at first I was very disappointed by having to do the 6m diet, but it helped prepare me for the steps of COMMITTMENT OF CHANGE. It started with a food journal, to looking at the foods I eat, to calorie counting, to adding an exercise journal. I have not just a food goal to watch, but a good exercise goal that I make myself accountable for. I'm so happy that I just got my lapband scheduled. I'm ready to not be afraid of the scale and celebrate the journey of change!
  2. I love this posts because it was very detailed...I'm hoping to get approved soon for my surgery.....thank you! I keep looking you up to see how ya doing!

I am looking at Premier Bariatric (Dr. Teele) to do my surgery in Dayton Ohio. I know a lot of people of talked about the pre op diet...can anyone give me an idea of what type of diet they are doing before hand. I know its liquid but are you eating protein bars too or what? Thank you!
  4. Love it! Thank you for sharing it....I often have said that people have been addictions: drugs, alcohol, cigerettes, caffiene, but food is also one.
  5. Congratulations! I know I have been keeping a food diary and it does help. It makes you see what good/bad food you are eating and also makes you accountable by having to write what you eat. I'm hoping to have my surgery in March so I will be looking forward to hearing how your days are...the bad and good!

I'm doing my 6m diet before I finally get approved to have my surgery and trying to do all the reading and researching before I have the surgery of the best foods and exercising before I go thru this journy. I would love to really try and loose weight on my own before I have the surgery just to proove to myself that I can do it, but I only have this mo and next mo when my 6mo are up and I'm scared next week when I get weighed in that I've not lost. Not that I haven't tried, but my exercising is the hardest thing to change and add to my day. My biggest worry is that I can't proove to myself that I can't even loose 10pounds on my own. I want the surgery and focus is to know what to eat before so what I do eat after my surgery is good intake not bad but also the habit of exercising which is best in the morning. If anyone knows what I'm going thru....I would love to hear from you...
