  1. HI Kathie, I was banded on Dec. 15th and I did drink coffee a few days after. However, I drink Decaf and I don't drink it everyday. That would be something to ask your surgeon. I was nervous at first but I know now I did the right thing. to be able to lose and keep it off will be a GREAT feeling. This website seems like a friendly place and alot of information gets passed on. I am doing well. Day 14 tomorrow so I can begin eating soft foods. Keep yourself busy, I find that helps so you don't feel hungry but I think that is as much in your mind as in your body. At least for me. Good Luck, Ann

Anyone want to share? Before I had my surgery the nurse taking care of me. Said. This is the first day of the rest of your life. She had Gastric bypass. Its nice when people can relate. Ann
  3. Really, do you get this information at the seminar? Well I guess I will find out soon. Thanks for the info.
  4. I am also new and have a scheduled seminar date of 7/28 to learn more about this process. I want to know about the after surgery and fast was the recovery. I am reading articles that say 3 weeks. I did not think it would take that long?? I have been reading the posts and did not know there was a pre-op diet you need to go thru. What I have read on line did not say anything about that. Any advice, things I should ask, etc??? I have been a yo yo dieter for years and have tried just about every diet there is. I appreciate your comments. Thanks,
