Thank you for the suggestions above. I get to start on mushy foods today, Going to do some yogurt an cream of wheat. I will make sure I get my protein in too. I found some low carb yogurt that I am going to try. Someone else said to mix with your protein never thought about that. I will give that a try. I was banded on 12/15. Thanks:thumbup: Ann
  5. HI Kathie, I was banded on Dec. 15th and I did drink coffee a few days after. However, I drink Decaf and I don't drink it everyday. That would be something to ask your surgeon. I was nervous at first but I know now I did the right thing. to be able to lose and keep it off will be a GREAT feeling. This website seems like a friendly place and alot of information gets passed on. I am doing well. Day 14 tomorrow so I can begin eating soft foods. Keep yourself busy, I find that helps so you don't feel hungry but I think that is as much in your mind as in your body. At least for me. Good Luck, Ann

  8. Really, do you get this information at the seminar? Well I guess I will find out soon. Thanks for the info.
  9. I am also new and have a scheduled seminar date of 7/28 to learn more about this process. I want to know about the after surgery and fast was the recovery. I am reading articles that say 3 weeks. I did not think it would take that long?? I have been reading the posts and did not know there was a pre-op diet you need to go thru. What I have read on line did not say anything about that. Any advice, things I should ask, etc??? I have been a yo yo dieter for years and have tried just about every diet there is. I appreciate your comments. Thanks,
