  2. .7 lbs this week... total lost is 8.2... to go 6.8... don't think I'll make that by Christmas but I'm happy to be losing during the holidays.
  3. Thanks everyone, I really appreciate all the ideas!
  4. My nutritionist told me I should have 3 smaller meals and a small snack each day. Can you all tell me what you eat for a snack or if you even eat a snack? I don't each dairy so I'm looking for ideas. Thanks!

  6. I hope it isn't to late to join your challenge? I want to lose 20 lbs by Valentines day.
  7. aslimmerme do you want to just go join the Valentines Weightloss Challenge or keep this string going? I'm open to either. I think we should check in at a minimum once a weeks lets say on Mondays. Below is the link to the Valentines Weightloss Challenge. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f17/valentines-day-wt-loss-challenge-2010-a-105151/
  8. aslimmerme count me in. I'm doing the xmas challenge but having another one to continue with would be great. I'm currently at 211 and I would like to lose 20 lbs by valentines day. Which would put me below the 200's as well. I'd love to see that on the scale.
  9. I had my surgery on a Wednesday and was back to work the followign Monday. My husband was also back to work on Monday.
  10. I lost another 2.5 this week. I'm so excited. I may not reach my goal in the next two weeks but I know I'm headed in the right direction. Lost To Go Dyer530..........7.5...........7.5
  11. Zero pounds lost this week. I feel good about this as I was out of town and couldn't exercise or get enough water in. I know I'll continue to lose for next week's weigh-in. Total lost 5 with 10 to go.
  12. This challenge was such a great idea! Week 1 down 1 lb Week 2 down 4 lbs Total Loss = 5 lbs
  13. I've lost 1.5 which is so much more than I'd been losing. Hope to see the number increase more as I had a fill yesterday.
  14. FluffyJen and Everyone - I created a Social Group called "Christmas Weightloss Challenge 2009" If you go to the community section in the tool bar and select social group, the select time period social group you will find it. We can post all our updates there and it will be easy to find.
  15. Fluffy Jen - what about creating a Social Group under the community section we we can all keep in touch on how we are doing with our challenge? I'd be happy to create it.
  16. I'm in too... I really need this and a group of people to help support me. I'm only losing about 1 lb per week so I'm going to say my goal is 10-15 lbs. I go for a fill on Monday so I know that will help. If I can hit the 15 by christmas I'll be close to being under 200 yippeeeee.
  17. I take Kirkland brand stool softener from Costco every night and have not trouble swallowing it. It really does help me stay somewhat regular.
  18. Every surgeon is different. Some say no solid foods for 4 weeks others less. My surgeon had me on solid foods 12 days after surgery and I had no problems. I would check with your surgeon and see if he/she has any concerns with you doing solid foods 9 days out.
  19. Have you contacted your doctor? If not, you need to do that as he can determine what is causing your pain and probably make it go away.
  20. Yes, I have a medic alter bracelet. I got mine because I have some sever drug allergies but added onto it that I have a LapBand. I got mine at www.DiabeticDrugStore.com.
  21. Yes, it is worth it. I was banded on 8/19 and had a lot of pain from the gas they fill you up with. I'm 4 weeks out and am very glad I did the surgery. Give yourself time to heal and follow the food instructions you have been given.
  22. I was banded 8 days ago and started back to the gym today. I only walked on the treadmill for 30 min but it felt really good. I'm going to take it slow but want to keep going to get back to the workout routine I had before being banded.
  23. Hi, Kate I just joined this forum today. I started looking into Lapband about a week ago. I'm scheduled to go to an Open House with the doctor on 7/20 and then hope to be able to schedule surgery for August or September as I'm doing it self paid. I was really gald to find this forum.
