  1. When you move back to the OKC area (hopefully) then maybe we can meet up! Sounds like you are doing wonderfully! Tonja
  2. Maybe I just need to practice my chewing even more. Maybe I'm doing too big of bites. When I'm eating it seems like I'm really chewing and eating small bites, but I'm really going to pay **really** close attention. I'm also going to do some liquids and mushies for a couple of days and see.
  3. I was filled on 11/27/06 - this was my 2nd fill and I have a 10cc band. I now have a total of 2cc in me. Here is my question - and I have a friend who has the same question... With my first fill I had no restriction what so ever. With my 2nd fill I have lots of restriction - and it seems like everything I eat - no matter what it is - it tends to hurt or give me that stuck feeling. Is it that I have too much of a fill? Will the feeling pass if I let it be? Is it that I am still just really swelled in there and need to stay on liquids/mushy for a while? Tonja
  4. I'm in the OKC area, but used to be in Sapulpa. I'm not sure who that doctor is either - but it's nice to meet another Okie! Best wishes to you! Tonja
  5. With my surgeon - had I not had the family support - he would not have performed the surgery. The support is important. Who is going to pick you up and help keep you motivated?
  6. I'm proud to say I haven't had any, and I'm not going to have any. I've gone too far already to screw this up.
  7. So, anyone else want to become friends through myspace?
  8. I'm going to name my band. It's my new best friend - and don't friends usually have names or nick names? I'm naming my band Lenni - Anyone else name their band? If you have - what is your bands name? Tonja
  9. http://www.myspace.com/tonjasm Muret is the last name. Looking forward to all my new friends!
  10. Mine is: http://www.myspace.com/tonjasm I would love to chat and share myspace! Tonja
  11. I had my two week followup appointment today. I told him I have been walking and he thought that was great. He gave me the okay to resume with Irish Dance. So, I will start up tomorrow. He said going ahead and exercising is the best thing you can do.
  12. I'm right with you on the 12th! I just found out friday! yeah - band twins! tonja
  13. At the weightloss seminar that I attended, Dr. Gornichec told us that there can be post surgical depression. If we ended up with that, to just let him know and he would help us out. It is a very common problem. You are in my prayers! Tonja
  14. I just hope we don't end up with another Clinton in the house. I can't stand them. They are both screwballs!
  15. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Not Banded Yet - Tonja
  16. I know you have to be so excited. I am hoping for my surgery to be scheduled soon. It will probably happen the beginning of October. I can't wait. Have you met anyone locally who has had it done? I've met some women in the OKC area who have had it done and some who are getting ready to have it done. It's really neat watching the one's who have had it done eat. I look forward to eating like that.
  17. ah - if I would read at the bottom of your post - I would have seen that it says that you haven't been banded yet.
  18. We have lived in the OKC area for about 10 months now. We really love it here. So, are you banded yet? Who is your surgeon? Tonja
  19. Welcome to Lapbandtalk.com ! How long have you been in the OKC area? Tonja
  20. How soon is a person able to start exercising (aerobic) after lap-band surgery? My daughters are Irish dancers and I plan to join in on the fun once I have been banded. I was just wondering how soon I would be able to join in. Tonja
  21. :angry In two days, my 30 days will be up and I "should" receive an answer from insurance on approval/denial. But, here is the catcher - after them giving me that line of bull - they are now saying that it is 30 days from the day the "reviewer" receives the request. If that is the case - nothing would ever get approved. And, my Dr.'s office told me that their attorneys say it is 30 days from the day the green card/signature is received on the "return receipt" is signed. AND, the people who answer the phones are so mean. I don't understand why people have to be so hateful! If they don't like their job - they should find something else to do. Come on HEALTHSCOPE insurance - give me a break! Tonja
  22. I have a kubaton that I carry. It is suppose to be able to bring a man to his knees. Here's the link: http://www.selfdefenseproducts.com/kub.htm

Here in Oklahoma we have had our share of tornados - but, it seems as if they have slowed down. I had heard on the news a few months back that we were no longer considered "tornado alley" - yeah right! I've been told that we have earthquakes here in Oklahoma, but they are very - very small. Oh, and in Meers, Oklahoma - we have a sizemograph (sp?) that is able to pick up the quakes that are on the other side of the world - it's suppose to be the most sensitive either in the world or in the USA.
  24. As soon as I get banded - I plan on starting a support group for bandsters. I have talked to a few people who would be interested in this. It sure could be exciting.
