Post Op Exercise - how soon?

How soon is a person able to start exercising (aerobic) after lap-band surgery?

My daughters are Irish dancers and I plan to join in on the fun once I have been banded. I was just wondering how soon I would be able to join in.

My doctor had me wait 3 weeks, I think the usual is between 3-4 weeks depending on how you feel.

My exercise was for anaerobic though, so I dunno about aerobic.

I'd wait 3 or so weeks though, you don't want to tear any of those sutures.

I would suggest asking your doctor and going by whatever he/she says. Mine had me wait 6 weeks before starting any type of exercise program, other than low impact walking.

My doctor permits all exercise after 3 weeks except stomach crunches. He said I have to wait at least 6 weeks to do any kind of stomach exercises.
