  1. My PCP also was against the lapband, or any type of WLS. He put me on diet pills, which of course, were another failure for me. I went to a couple of the support group meetings and started asking people who their PCP was. I changed PCP in February 2008. My insurance required 6 months of diet and exercise supervised by my NEW PCP, so I started over again. I had several hold ups with insurance, but finally I was approved. I am on day 10 of a 14 day liquid diet. It has been so hard, but I have already lost 14 lbs. My surgery is Friday, July 24th. It is a long road, but I know it will be worth it all! I suggest finding a PCP that is supportive of this decision. Good luck to you.
  2. My surgery is this Friday, the 24th. I am so excited and can't wait to eat real food again. I am on day 10 of an all liquid diet. So far, I've lost 14 lbs!
  3. I tried Isopure and it is great! Of course, having 40g of protein, there is an aftertaste, however it was much better to me than the shakes. I bought Isopure by the case online. Free shipping from GNC.com if you order $60 or more. I bought three cases, because I have two weeks before and three weeks after of only liquids. I am on day 10 of 14 days of my pre-op diet. So far, I am down 14 lbs. Good luck to everyone.
  4. I am on day 10 of a 14 day all liquid diet. So far, I have lost 14 lbs. It is very hard, but I know it will be worth it soon. I don't like the protein shakes, so I have struggled to get in the 80g of protein required per day. It is worth it though! I can already see a difference in my face and neck. It is very exciting. Good luck to everyone. My surgery date is July 24th... this Friday!
