do you feel restriction?

well, I know how you feel. I have had my band for 1 1/2 years and up until maybe 6 or 7 months ago, i also didn't know what restriction felt like. everyone is different. it doesn't matter how many fills you get. I got restriction after my 4th fill. so much I couldn't even swallow. they took some out then gradually over 2 more fills got back up to 7cc's. that was my sweet spot. then I got sick, had to get an unfill of 3cc's which put me at 4cc's. no restriction whatsoever at 4cc's. gained 13lbs back in 2 month and now i'm back up to 6.4cc's and I feel a little restriction.....i'm just gonna try and work with that for now. some people feel restriction at 4cc's others at 7cc's like me and I had a friend who didn't have restricion until she was at 7.9cc's cause 8.2 was too much for her. once you get near your proper fill, some people (like me) can be very sensitive to the fills. so just have patience and don't worry, you'll get the proper adjustment. just keep going in for your fills until you reach the proper adjustment.

i HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM. I HAD GOTTEN A FILL AND WAS DOING AWESOME, THEN 2 MONTHS LATER, I GOT A COLD AND THEN MY BAND WAS TOO TIGHT. I COULDN'T EVEN EAT, COULD ONLY SIP ON LIQUIDS. WENT INTO THE DOCTOR WHO REMOVED .5CC'S. IT CURED MY PROBLEM. WENT FOR AN UPPER GI TO MAKE SURE IT HADN'T SLIPPED AND THE DOCTOR SAID EVERYTHING WAS OK. HOPE ITS THE SAME WITH YOU.

I was banded May 2009 and have lost approx 66 lbs. I have approx 50lbs to reach my goal. I have stopped losing weight. The worse part is that my band got tight all of a sudden and the doctor just had to remove 3cc's of fluid, so now, I can eat anything I want. I have started doing weight watchers this week and am hoping this helps me NOT gain the weight back...I'm afraid because I can eat more now, but I think one of the problems on why I hadn't lost anymore weight is because I was eating enough and had slowed my own metabolism. hopefully, this will boost my metabolism. I'm just gonna try and eat right.

Go to my high school reunion this year looking high school skinny! My 10 year anniversary is next year, would like 2 go to cancun,MX and look sexy on the beach. Buy cute clothes. Have energy to play around with my 6 and 1 year old. Be able 2 have sex in different positions. Without getting tired.

Well, im 7 months post op and have 7ccs ina 10 cc band I'<e been eating about 750-950 cal on my good days, but have eaten about 1200-1600 on my bad days. But before I got this restriction I was eating like 1600-1900 cal a day for months. After 5 months of being plateau, I'm finally loosing weight. Yay for me! Lol

I guess I'm just having an issue with the fact that I CAN eat more than I think I should. Most ppl say they couldn't even eat 1/2 of this food even if they tried. I didn't even blink, it all went down without a prob, whxich honestly, was a bit dissappointing. But I don't think I'll be doing this again anytime soon. Lol

Well, I guess I should schedule a fill then. It's so sunny how .5 cc's can make such a difference. I had the .5 cc's in me and couldn't even swallow spit/water, get .5 cc's out and I can eat a whole freakin' burger. Lol.

Yeah, I see what u mean. I've been banded for 7 months and recently had a fill 2 7cc's however, he took out .5 cc's because I couldn't swallow my own saliva. But now it's been 1 week since that unfill and I feel like I can eat too much. NOTHING seems 2 get stuck and actually now that I've eaten this burger I am feeling a little bite of nausea. I rarley eat a burger, but I really wanted 1, so I went 4 it. Thnx 4 the advise.

I have 6.5 cc's in my 10 cc band. I feel some restriction, but I was able to eat a Burger King whopper JR w/small fries today in about 25 minutes. Is this normal? I didn't drink with my meal. I am satisfied with that and I think I'll be full with that for the next few hours, but I thought I shoudn't be able 2 eat stuff like this. Help! Do I need another fill?

I was banded May 26th and had only lost 20lbs. Was able to eat several times a day with no restriction. Could even swallow pills with no problem. I know how frustrating it can be. I recently got a fill 2 days ago which gave me a total of 7cc in my 10 cc band, it was way too tight, talk about the worst night of my life, I couldn't even swallow my own spit, went in 2 the doctor yesterday and he took out .5 cc so now I am at 6.5 cc's and I feel lots of restriction. When I was at 6 cc's prior to this fill, I felt nothing, so I think its just about getting 2 ur sweet spot and having patience. I just hope that after this fill I will lose quicker. Ya'll wish me luck.

We'll, I was banded on May 26th 2009 and just got my 2nd fill. I felt no restriction before this 2nd fill, I didn't loose any weight for 6 weeks...just sorta stayed where I was. I got really frustrated. I could eat the same amount of food I was eating before getting the band. But now, I got my 2nd fill, I am at 2 cc's in my 10cc band, I I can feel some restriction. I think w/ 2 or 3 more fills and I might be at my sweet spot. Just be patient and make sure you go back to the doctor for your fills.

I take the Viactiv multivitamin for women it tastes a little like a tootsie roll. Buy them a Target.

i was recently banded on may 26th and have added hot sauce to my food everyday. I'm from texas, so mexican food is a must. haven't had any problems so far.

Wow, I guess you could say I too am also in the same boat. I was also banded on may 26th and lost 10lbs preop and lost another 10lbs the first week post op. But then 3 days after starting mushies in my 2nd week, I gained 5lbs. Yikes, then its been a week since then and I lost 2lbs of the 5 I had gained. I am hardly eating, definatley not eating the same way I used to and I have only lost 7lbs within 2 weeks postop. I know everyone is different, but sooo many ppl lose so much more the first 2 weeks post op. My largest weightloss was preop. What's going on w/me? I just try and be patient. At least im not alone.
