You will find more information on this sight than in the doctors office People who have been through the LB surgery know alot of answers to questions you have and some questions you didn t even know you have. In the short time I m using it has been very informative about pre op and post op. Good Luck and I hope you will enjoy success.

  4. Hi there. I am 3 1/2 weeks post op and always had a little pain around the port area but last night i started getting sharp pain if I move a certain way. I m wondering if this is from bending over and tying my shoes. when I make sure I stand up straight the pain goes away. Did anyone else have this problem? I thought I was doing great as far as pain was considered until this started. I have an appt. for my first fill on Tuesday 6/2 so I hope this don t prevent me from the fill.
  5. I hate to tell you this but you are probably addicted to the caffeine in the mountain dew so you should try to at least gradually cut the caffeine and the carbonation should stop at once before you mess up the pouch completely which is just a matter of time.
  6. thanks to all who responded to my question. I never even asked about my first fill when I saw my surgeon one week post op. I ll call tomorrow and inquire about it.
  7. Now that i m banded 3 weeks ago and feeling hungry I was wondering what is the average time for us to get our first fill.
  8. are you down 30 lbs since surgery or since pre op. I was banded may 5th and I m down 17 since pre op and I have no restiction and can eat anything ,also I m hungry alot. I m just wondering if I m doin something wrong till my first fill.
  9. i was banded on 5/5 and since i have no restriction yet does anyone know if it is safe to have carbonated drinks before first fill.
  10. maybe when u had the stapples out the last time it was to early. They came right out as the doctor was talking to me while he removed them I didn t even know he was finished,I had no problem at all with them. Its no worry at all they will not be a problem especially when the reward is so great.
  11. well i m on my 8th day post op and feeling great. Got my staples out today, lost 6 lbs past week so Im ready to move into exercise mode and make the best out of the band I can. I m now on phase 2,blended/pureed till day 14 and so far i think i will do good on this phase. Today I had a banana, mashed potatoes w chopped spinach topped with canned fat free beef gravy and to me it tasted great . If anyone has any tips for this phase please post. Thanks and good luck.
