  1. Hi, there I buy 100% Whey protein (EAS), but I purchase mine at Vitamin Shoppe, because they have different flavors, when I went to Walmart I didn't see a variety of different flavors but I have checked recently. I did purchase my baby foods from there, I loved pears, bannans and pears, and a couple of more I can't think of all the others.. but you have to try them first becasue they might be good to me and yucky to you.. My friend suggested sweet potatoes but they were nasty to me and she loved them.. it just depends on your tast buds.. As far as clothing, I didn't need anything but loose clothes, mines was outpatient so I went home the same day, I had a big dress on you can't have anything tight on the stomach... Good Luck on your surgery.

  2. Wow, that's awsome you are doing great. How many fills have you had? I'm 7 weeks post op and I go for my first fill on June 15th. I'm really looking forward to getting it, so I'll be able to loose more weight and eat less. I understand when you said you're getting a little bit more, because I am to.. But not as much as I was before surgery.. Keep up the good work...

  3. This is very informational for me and I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling like this, with no restriction. I was banded on April 15th and I go to get my first fill on June 11th, yeah.. I was beginning to think the same thing you were thinking.. Glad to know I'm not alone.. Restriction left about 4 weeks after surgery... tried to get in to get a fill by dr said no not yet, not healed... so the 11th is the day, kind of scared because I really don't know what to expect, I've heard some good storied on the blogs and then some bad... but everyones different, prayerfully I'll have a good story to tell.. a little nervous because my port is righ below my breast in the middle of my stomach... I'm scared about being poked in the stomach, anywhere else is fine.. but I k now its' going to work out... Thank you for sharing your story...

  4. I'm in a wow,, I was able to eat a ham crossiant this morning (a whole one) without any problems, I'm 5 1/2 weeks with the band, and I was told when I went to the dr's on May 11th that I was doing fine, on that day I was still restricted to eating, but since then 2 weeks later I've realized I can eat a little more, the dr told me on that day that I didn't have any filling in my band, and that on June 11th I would get my first fill. I called the dr's office today and told them I think I need to come before June 11th because I was able to eat a whole sandwhich :cursing: The seceratary told me she would give me a call but I haven't heard back from her yet. Hopefully she will call me back on tomorrow. I'm not sure if anyone band has been empty like mine. But I'm stressing.. Any advice would be helpful.. Thanks in advance.

  5. I pray that your surgery goes well.. I'm sure it will. You will loose weight the first week after the band, I'm sure.. because you will only be on clear liquids for a couple of days, so you will have no choice.. then after that you'll go on full liquids, so you will loose weight.. Trust me. It's been 5 weeks since I've had my band and I've lost a total of 23lbs.. I would have like to have done lost more, but I'll take what I can get for now.. I go for my first fill on June 11th. I only took a week off and I was able to return to work with no problems, just a littl soreness but in time it went away.. I think the walking helped so make sure you move around for at least 30 minutes a day....You will be fine, be encouraged.

  6. Morning, I felt better after about 3 days of so. I even went back to work after a week, I was able to walk straight, a little pain an soreness was still there, but it wasn't that bad. I was still able to move about and go to the store. I think you need to see your doctor if you still not able to move about. But you're suppose to walk at least 30 minutes a day, and each day should get better and better. I'm in my 5th week and I feel great. Hope you feel better soon.

  7. Be encouraged, we have all been on the liquid stage, and mushies stage. You will get through this.. I was feeling the same way. I'm in my 5th week since surgery, and when I weighed my self last week I was only down, 21 lbs, when I went to my post op appt on May 11th I was only down 17 lbs, so you have lost 14lbs in one week I think that's great. We all loose weight at different stages.. You will be just fine, at first I felt as if I wasn't drinking a lot either, but get some juice you like remember 100% fruit juice at least that's what my instructions were, maybe some juicy, juice or something, switch it up, I also drank Dole 100% juice, strawberry, banana and orange. because if you don't switch it up it will get boring.. at least it did for me. If you like crystal light drink some of that. Try and make sure you drink something , every hour not to exceed what you're suppose to have for the day. You want fail, think positive..
