NSAID's in liquid form are much safer than pill form for bandsters. You're right about the frequently part for sure. If you're frequently getting stuck and swollen enough that you need to constantly take an anti-inflammatory then something is definitely wrong.

The dark, infrequent urination is worrisome. It's definitely a sign of dehydration.
You really need to get in more Fluid. It sounds like you're still really swollen, but I also wonder how much Fluid was put in the band at surgery. I would call your surgeon ASAP tomorrow and let him know what's going on. If there it's fluid in your band he'll likely want to remove at least some.
Let us know how you are. Good luck.

Btw I almost forgot, definitely drink more than 6 times a day. In fact, sip constantly if you have to, but it's crucial you get in more Fluid.< /p>

If you're throwing up that much you need Fluid out ASAP. Excessive vomiting can slip your band. You swell your stomach when you throw up and the more you throw up the more you swell into you are in deep do-do. Warm liquids can help with swelling as well as liquid motrin/ibuprofen. However, once you're as tight as you sound the only option is some Fluid out. I can see holding off on getting a fill but you should never hold off on getting an unfill. One is about convenience, the other can ruin your band.

Eating like you have the band before you have the band is freaking hard as heck. However, you may be learning a valuable lesson early on. Once you get banded you have an awesome tool to help you and there is a natural high from the weight loss initially. Eventually though you're going to have to start addressing many of the food issues that you are having now. You'll still be able to eat crap, just less of it. Realizing that you have a problem with food now may help teach you that while the band can address the physical aspects of hunger, it cannot address the mental aspects of it. After I hit goal I really began to realize how much I used food as a coping mechanism and it took therapy to really help me come to terms with that problem. You may also benefit from some form of therapy as you continue on your journey down the road. Good luck!

Your post reminded me of the first barbecue my wife and I had after we got married. A friend asked for mustard for their hot dog. Lynn and I looked at each other and giggled. We had none. Neither of us use mustard, so it never dawned on us to have it in the house.
I'll keep your post in mind for the future.

Definitely! Been banded over 10 years! Certainly haven't been the perfect bandster but have not had the first problem with my band. It's hard telling what my weight would be or if I would even be alive had I not done it. Working back towards my goal weight. I have learned so much about myself and what has contributed to my weight issues. Tomorrow I will be 63 years old and very healthy.

I will say that I've personally known MANY friends with the lap band that have dilated their pouches by drinking while eating. Just keep that in mind. I've never heard of a single doctor saying that it's okay. Some rules docs differ on such as allowing carbonation. The drinking while eating isn't one of them.

I drink right up until time to eat. I do not drink while I eat or 30 minutes after. After almost 5 years I honestly don't even notice anymore. I got pretty used to it after the first few months. The funny thing now is that when I cook for people I always forget to offer them drinks.< /p>

People crack me up that post 'leaving' messages. If you want to leave without the drama then just go. The fact that you're trying to stir **** up before you go just goes to show you that it's YOU that likes the drama. Sad. I bet this person is the same kind of person that constantly 'deletes' their Facebook only to come running back every week. Good riddance.

That's one of the rules that is not universal. Some say that coffee hinders weight loss...others disagree. Is your nutritionist banded? I drank coffee like crazy and lost 127lbs doing so. Some say not to drink coffee because it's a diaretic...so what? If you pee more then drink more! Ironically, I did have to give up coffee because the caffeine was giving me headaches so I now drink Decaf exclusively. Have you talked to your doc about it? I'd go with his advice over the nutrtionist personally.
