Protein Bar Question
A rule of thumb they use at my clinic is that if it doesn't have at least 20g or more of protein then it's not worth it. I used to love the Titan bars and I think they have 26g of protein. You just have to be careful because some bars are all sugar and no protein.

On holiday cant eat !
Yup. I take anti-inflammatories any time I start to have a problem. It keeps small problems from becoming large ones.

To fill or not to fill....
If I was losing I would not get a fill plain and simple.

Unsweetened Tea
Kroger makes a diet decaf tea that is amazing. They sell it back near the dairy. It is the BOMB!

Acid reflux, vomitting, coughing all night
Then have a Protein shake. It's actual food that causes my problems. If I opt for a Protein Shake instead of food then I don't have problems at night and that should mesh fine with your blood sugar needs. I try not to eat 'food' at least 2 hours before bed but 3 is usually safest. 5-6 hours is a bit extreme.

Whenever I need to 'loosen' up my band I take some liquid motrin aka ibuprofin and it works well.

Pizza!!!
That's the great thing about this recipe in that it doesn't use dough. Also, you don't have to use cheese if you don't want to. You could just make the zucchini 'crust' and add pizza sauce and veggies if you want.

ACL injury - hoping for some insite from my lapband buddies
I've had to fight injuries here and there and for me it seems like diet/exercise is about 80/20 of weight loss. You'll still be able to lose about 80% of the weight you need to through diet alone. Also, when I injured myself I always found that completely resting whatever I had injured for several weeks always helped. Don't try to rehab something that is healing on its own. Those are valuable lessons that I have learned. Good luck!

Humidity causing band tightness?
You could also be dehydrating more which causes tightness or perhaps allergies are affecting you. Just a couple of other ideas.

Fat Burner?
Yup. Treadmill, jogging, exercise in general. All are good fat burners!

Weight loss and stress
Plus you have a limited amount of willpower. If you're using tons of willpower dealing with the stress in your life it doesn't leave any left for trying to lose weight. Not to mention that the stress will make you feel tighter and may cause you to turn to comfort foods more like hazelsbliss was talking about.

Recipes, a weight loss surgery photo album by GuyMontag on BariatricPal. 1 photo in Member Photo Gallery.- When did you start eating soft foods after your surgery?
I did four days liquids, five days mushies, and then regular food which was NOT what my doctor recommended. However, if I would have damaged my band that would have been MY responsibility. If you think you're starving then talk to your doctor. I talked to mine during the preop and he okayed me to have some chicken breast, olives, and almonds to snack on. I healed VERY quickly after surgery and reintroduced food back into my diet faster than normally recommended but if you're looking for answers on what YOU should do then you need to talk to YOUR doctor. If you're going to do what you WANT to do anyway then there's not much reason to find out we did. Lol. I'm not trying to be negative but I think a lot of us are used to people coming in here asking when other people ate to justify being able to eat early. We will not condone that. You break your doctor's rules, you risk screwing up your very expensive surgery and that will be on you. I may have eaten sooner and gotten away with it but that doesn't mean it will work for anyone else. Just my $.02.- pain when I cough?
I would cup my hand on my port area and push in while I coughed and it would help.- Water
I drink right up until I eat and then wait 30-60 minutes after to drink depending on how full I feel.- Carb Intake Per Day
The basic rule of thumb for protein intake need is to take .36 times your weight in pounds. So if you weight 210lbs then you need 76 grams of protein. As for carbs vs. protein a good rule of thumb is less carbs than protein overall. Although G2 has some carbs it's also great at rehydrating you and I lost a TON of weight drinking G2. You don't need to eliminate carbs all together but limiting them is one successful way to lose weight. Good luck!- Mad at myself.
We'll have to bring the gang over and beat you up! Lol. It happens. You can't eat 100% healthy 100% of the time. Just keep trying and hop back up in the saddle and you'll be fine.- Stomach hair and fills
Pull WITH the grain. Lol. - Recipes
