  1. Did I miss a page? I didnt think anyone said anything all THAT bad?!
  2. I hear you RM. There is one young soul who keeps posting questions on one of the main boards that is driving...me...NUTS. As for the advice....I'm okay with stern warnings.....some people respond to a gentler approach. I think anyone who steps up and makes an effort to help someone else should be commended....afterall it IS easier to just look the other way.
  3. HH...I'm just playing with you!! LOL!
  4. HH...huffing and puffing? You're not suggesting that you're full of hot air, are you??!! RestlessMonkey, I think you're awesome but I respectfully disagree with some of your comments in this thread, just cause I feel that we can all have a little niche here on LBT where we are free from judgement and recriminations. That's why we have these sub forums such as August 2009 ect. That being said...I would never suggest that someone can not post anywhere they like on this board especially to offer words of encouragement and guidance. In closing....I LOVE that movie too! edit to add: To explain my point further...if someone posts something outrageous on the preop forum, or the post op, or the general forum....it's open season in my mind. But on the sub forums that are set up for very specific groups...I think kid gloves are sometimes in order.
  5. There are quite a few of us going on monday I believe. Are you all ready? I am only having flashes of pure terror at this point!
  6. Holy cow...you're allowed to eat soup at 4 days post op? My doc orders clear liquids for a week after....than full liquids for another week...ect ect....
  7. Holy crap, you and me both, sister!! I go on Monday and I cant get that thought out of my mind.
  8. Maybe I should not mention the "cousins".......I would imagine that if your large chested they will wobble to and fro as they jostle you around. Although in my case I wont have to worry because they will be laying on either side of me on the operating table.
  9. I wonder if you pass gas when you are knocked out?
  10. ^ I have heard this too........Oh good LORD!
  11. HH.....aren't you the one who suddenly discovered that your sporting quite the package? Shouldn't you be in a better mood?
  12. Thanks Beth. Yea, surgery is on Monday. Hey..I can suffer through a few weeks of possible hunger...some short term pain. It's a hell of a lot simpler than the constant pain of being overweight! Life is ying and yang.....everything's a trade off.
  13. Good LORD! If you are unable to see the hoochie-coochie to trim properly, can you imagine what the beast will look like under the glare of O.R. lights???! I hope the surgeon doesn't drop an instrument in there a lose it!!!!
  14. I watched a really good youtube vlog the other day where she was saying that all she wanted after a few weeks was something with TEXTURE. I am due to go in on Monday and I am not afraid (yet) of pain or being hungry....I am panicky about not being able to "eat" my feelings. Guess it's good that I decided to stick with the therapist who did my consult months ago! So I anticipate that I'll be able to buck up and just do the liquids....but how the hell am I gonna come home and relax and reward myself for a hard days work without EATING massive portions of food??! Ya know?
  15. underpants in the O.R. or commando? LISTEN, these are the questions I need answered to keep my mind off the more serious aspects right now!
  16. I gotcha...no worries. Obviously, as I'm sure you can imagine.....those first few weeks after surgery can make you feel a little vulnerable and scared. A little raw......feelings are probably gonna get a bit more hurt than they might usually. Even good advice might be a little hard to....CHOKE down. LOL!
  17. Okay...we've established that lasagna was a bad idea. Let's not puree a dead horse. !! LOL I am in the August 2009 group, yes? I didnt stumble into the General forum? : )
  18. It's all up hill from here! Congrats!
  19. Hay hayyy.....kick some lap band butt!!
  20. Happy Bandday to youuu...Happy Bandday to you...Happy Bandday dear Britniiiiiii.....Happy Bandday to youuuuuu!
  21. Go Leah, Go Leah..It's your bandday, it's your bandday!
