I did it! I DID IT! I did it!!
I only eat 1/2 cup no matter what it is! I drink a ton of water as well. I do Crystal Light as well, or unsweet tea. That is key for me to not snack.

I think I'm too fat for my first fill....
I agree you should be fine. I got my first fill at over 299. I would be concerned if the Dr couldn't do it about his competence. Good Luck!

I did it! I DID IT! I did it!!
I thank all of you again. For those last 35 just get back to the basics! Protien shakes for morning, exercise hard and never eat more than 1/2 cup in one sitting. I measure my food out most of the time, even though I can eyeball it now. If I am eating and I am still hungry after 1/2 cup I stop. I have found that most usually I have just eaten too fast and it will pass in a few moments! Actually that works for anyone! JUST stick to it, platues will pass if you keep working out! I have been there. My last 35 or so took the longest.

I did it! I DID IT! I did it!!
Thanks everyone! Georgia--I also do 1/2 hour of weights. I switch that between legs and upper body. That has given me my killer legs, now if it could just work on the arms! I basically stay with the bike or treadmill. I once and awhile do the stairstepper, but not my favorite. Elipitcal usually once a week.

OK when is enough, enough??

Thanks Wasa. I hope he is doing better!!

Do you miss your old eating habits?
Not at all. When I think of how I used to eat, I am truly truly embarassed. AND I am the ONLY one who knows the real truth about it. I miss nothing about it. Food is no longer life, I have a good life now!

OK when is enough, enough??

I did it! I DID IT! I did it!!
I did it! I made it to goal!!!! I actually did it a few days ago, I am actually under by .5...I waited a few days because it seems so unreal to me. I knew from a Dr appt this week. I made it to what I thought a year ago was a freaking PIPE dream! I am so happy and so amazed. If *I* can do it, anyone can, trust me! I want to motivate all of you that have ANY doubt or disbelief. If you want the band to work, and YOU WORK IT, it will work! Before I was banded I was a food whore. I had hidden stashes, I ate probly 4000 or more calories on a good day. Bad days were upward to 6000!! I ate fast food constantly, I ate 3-4 candy bars a day. Coke, was a huge habit. At least a 12 pack a day. It is all done with. I want you all to know what I have done is NOT a gimmick. I want you to know that yes, it was hard work but worth every second of it. I have a life again! YOU CAN DO IT TOO! For those of you who want to know how, this is what I did (still do...lol) I eat about 800-1200 calories per day. I haven't cut anything out, but bread and Pasta because they get stuck for me. I use shake, no matter what. I eat whatever I want in very small moderate portions. BUT I can tell you, I no longer really like fast food, it makes me ill to my stomach. Candy is not a demon anymore either. I even *GASP* have an occasional Coke now and then, but only about 1/4 of a can! I have deprived myself of anything, if I crave something long enough I do eat it. I have learned that life is better that way. Please all of you doubting the band or yourself, please DO NOT give up! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

lol....good point. Maybe DH just needs to start dealing with it, or buy me a bigger house with bigger closets? I do need a pair of black pants though. That seems to be a staple I am missing!

Steady losers ;-)
Nikki--thanks sweetie! I am sorry about all the reflux. Try papaya. It is for all digestion problems, and it won't hurt baby a bit! It helps me when I get reflux. Brandi--It is ok to have a bad go of it sometimes. We all know you and we know that you are committed. Just try to not be so hard on yourself and you can get back focused. You can do it, we all know it! YOU need to know it too! Just step away from the candy. It is ok to eat carbs once and awhile hun, your body actually does need them. Just make sure you are getting GOOD carbs and not bad ones! QUIT being so damn hard on yourself! (((((Brandi)))) I had the funniest comment today that took me totally aback. I was at the grocery store and the cashier commented on my outfit. SHe told me that I looked completely gorgeous. I then told her that the whole outfit shoes, dress, sweater cost me less than $20. She told me that I "looked like money"! lol...I cracked up. Then she told me that I was crazy and there was no way I bought the outfit for $20. I broke it down for her. She then asked me if I was a personal shopper because she wanted me to go shopping for her. I told her no, but she seriously asked for my number!! LOL....I gave her my work business card...lol....

OK when is enough, enough??
I feel like I have 3 or 4 closets. I have the nice work clothes, the "extra nice" stuff for special events at work. I have the everyday stuff and then I have my pin up stuff, but 2 different levels there too...the slutty stuff and the good girl stuff....lol.... Is there a way to bring it ALL together??

Completely opening the band
I asked my Dr about removal after I got to goal, he asked me if I had ever dieted before and failed...well DUH...lol...then he asked me why would I cause another failure if I didn't have to? Yes, I would like to think I have learned a new way of life but to be honest the band keeps me straight. Why risk it? I was going to have all saline out, and then decided that too was a bad idea. I have had some taken out, but not all. I like my security blanket!

OK when is enough, enough??
I have been buying clothes (needed, at first) on a frenzy lately. I don't know why but I have been buying up clothes like there is no tommorow. My closet has now creeped into my DH's. I took over more than half. SO when do we have enough clothes? What do we really need in a closet to make our wardrobe work? I must be missing something because I have too much and still feel I have nothing to wear...why?? What are the closet essentials?

Neveragain
OH NO! I hope he is ok! Wasa please call me after you call and let me know how he is doing. He is such a sweetie.

Band Removed Due To Erosion
YES, personal experience can give you a different perspective but so can education. I am so sick of people attacking one another. Wasa did nothing but point out to you that everything isn't so black and white as YOU have tried to make it! Reread your original post without blinders and maybe you will see that you spoke in very definative terms. That is not the case. But I am sure you will not take the time to do that, as from what I can see you are enjoying a good fight. Let me know when YOU personally have and MD degree and this maybe worth more to me.
