  1. NSV=NON scale Victory, the best kind there is!
  2. I don't intentionall low carb but as already been said, I eat protien first. Not much left for carbs. I do occassional splurge with simple sugars, but it is rare. I do not count carbs in my meals, if they are there so be it.
  3. My alter ego is SUPER B... :biggrin2:
  4. lol...ok ok NO secrets! I ditto that, OP must be fuming!
  5. Welcome to LBT and good luck on your surgery!
  6. OMG Kat! I LOVE your new picture! You look great!
  7. Yes I do, sorry to tell you. I am getting a tummy tuck and breast reduction on May 6th. I want to also get my arms and thighs done, but my insurance doesn't cover it.
  8. Thanks Suzanne. I agree with you , some people just want to stay the skinny ones, and don't want to share the spotlight.
  9. Yes, the last 10 pounds were definately definately the hardest, more than 3 months it went up and down. Here is what I did.... I got a fill even though my Dr thought I didn't need it, I was at 3.50 went to 3.75. Switched my cardio/weight split workout and went to just cardio for 1.5 hours for a week and then weights a week, and kept flipping that way. I ate no more than 800 calories a day, no matter if it killed me. Somedays I wanted to shoot myself, but I wanted that weight off. I avoided carbs completely. I did 2 protien shakes a day, plus a Herbalife tea that kicks your metobolism up. 1 cup burns 80 calories. BTW, I want you all to know I am NOT an Herbalife dealer, it is just what worked for me. I account my last 30 pounds to it completely. Dr told me I was going to stay 30 pounds short of my goal and I committed to get them off.
  10. Yes I do, but PM me and tell me where you are and we can find you someone. If you want I can get some samples from my "dealer". I promise you WILL NOT be dissapointed. I love them, no Vitamin smells, and they taste like dessert. NO JOKE!
  11. PM me, I will tell you my secrets....
  12. Good for you (and sounds like its good for him too!:biggrin2:)
  13. lol....It is not you. I should just shut up...lol... I would tell you if it was you, be sure of that! I did call the person out on the carpet though, in a nice way (I tried anyways) I just don't like people acting like everyone has the same experience and we should all follow their lead....call me critical, but I don't think we should be posting "facts" unless we are a licensed Dr with a degree. Am I too picky??:tt2:
  14. Thank you! Good Luck Molly! You can do this, it is not rocket science. It is learning to listen to your body, and working a system. I can tell you I did stall for awhile and was sure I would only loose 75%, but I kept working and it did come off. Persistence pays off and if you want it bad enough you will do whatever it takes! I look forward to hearing about your success! Hugs!
  15. For me it has taken a long time to know what full feels like as well. I no longer get a full belly. I feel restriction in m throat telling me "You're done". If I listen to it and stop then I will feel full. If I don't listen and keep eating, I PB. SO I have come to understand I will never be "full bellied" and that is ok with me!
  16. I have that Mom too...mine got a bypass 6 months after I got banded because she thought she would loose faster than me. Family can be the worst!
  17. I agree that this is from Inamed, however this is JUST a guide. I can tell you that I could never tolerate their suggestions and therefor, had to work with my Dr on adjustments. This is a guide, not an absolute because every band is different and every body is different. I do think it is a good guide. How much, when and why you get a fill is ALWAYS up to the Dr and the patient.
  18. OK....Either I am particularly sensitive these days to know it alls, or they aer coming out of the woodwork, but let me say, I am over it! UGH!
  19. It does get better. You have to just try to sip on fluids, and be gentle with your body! Just try to get your protien and Water in, make an honest effort whether you want to do it or not... Good luck!
  20. Just tell them, "Thank you, I appreciate that, but I am doing this for me." I had everyone telling me I was taking the easy way out, I didn't care. Like everyone said they have never been in your shoes, no one should judge anyone else. Human nature is to find flaws and pick at them. Tell them to get over it, this is ABOUT YOU and NOT THEM! Good luck!
  21. I have been there. There are many many many things good for you that you can eat. I would NOT eat whatever goes down, it can cause bad habits. Try canned chicken breast, it is much like tuna fish and usually very soft. Tofu is great as well if you like it! Please don't just eat whatever will go down. You aren't dieting, you are eating healthy, there is a difference. If you eat junk you are hurting yourself by making habits you are trying to break. I find that a week or two after a fill I begin to feel better. Eat more slowly, and blend things if need be. See your Dr if you don't feel better soon, maybe you are too tight! Good Luck!
  22. BK!! SO glad to hear from you! I am so glad things are going so well for you and the family! Do you think you fill is enough for you? Maybe that is the first place to start. If you are eating more than 1 cup I would get a fill. How are you doing on exercise? Soon you will be able to take the baby for walks!
  23. Here are pictures of beautiful Haley.. One is my mom with her....(so you could all see my arch nemis...lol..)
  24. And that is the scariest part....lol...
