  1. Okay I am reposting and hopefully my golf picture will come up! Not the best picture of me but you can see me from head to toe. I am at an impass on if I want to just maintain or if I want to push the envelope and go for the 100 lbs lost mark. I am comfortable at this size so not sure what I am going to do yet! One day and one decision at a time, right?
  2. I am down over 80 lbs! I have had my ups and downs but all in all, I would do it 100 times over in a heartbeat! I soooo love my band. My family has named it Puff from all the weird noises it makes after I eat or drink! I have not been on this forum in about a year so I look forward to seeing everyone else's update. I am about to try to figure out how to post a skinny profile pic! Woohoo! Who would have EVER thought I would see a size 10 again! Starting Weight 251 Today's Weight 167
  3. I have not check in for a very long time. After looking at everyones loss I feel that I am right on track. My band birthday is 4/24/09 and since then I have lost 46 lbs. Woohoo! Almost to onederland!
  4. I was banded by Dr. Felts on April 24, 2009. It is one of the biggest decisions I have ever made. I have a lot of medical anxiety and the way I have been taken care of before, during, and after surgery has been awesome! I would recommend Dr. Felts to anyone considering this surgery. Thanks Dr. Felts!
  5. I will be at 3 months July 24. I have lost 22 pounds. My doc says slow and steady and that I am on track but I am so impatient. I want this weight off. I can see progress in my body. I know it took years to put on and may take a year of two to get it off but I am so tired of the battle. I have been having anger issues about food. Has anyone else had this? I just sit there with food in front of me and get mad because I know if I eat it, I will hurt and it is not worth it. Sometimes I just want to be normal again...but not enought to go back to where I was!
  6. My Dr. has already let me move to mushies. I have lived on mashed potatoes and soup and cottage cheese. The "real food" has not helped! I finally had to lay down in my office for lunch and take a power nap and even then that did not help. I hope this is normal.
  7. I was banded the 24th and have felt so weak and tired. I am relieved to hear that I am not alone but how long should this last? I had this surgery to loose weight and have more energy. I am just tired of being tired...even more so than preop! Any ideas?
  8. This is the best...thank you so much! I think that this group was fate for me because I have been married for 11 years and even before we were married, my husband's pet name for me is and has been bunny. How fitting that I am a bunny bandster!
  9. Hi, my name is Amanda and I live outside of Dallas, TX. I am 28 years old and have been married to my best friend for the last 11 years. I have a step son, 12, and 4 dogs. We are thinking about kids but I need to do this for me before I can think of bringing another human on this earth. I am so ready to do this! Surgery day April 24, 2009!!!
  10. April Bunnies threads have helped me so much...now I really need to put some thought into minigoals so I do not get discouraged if things are not moving as fast as I would like. Thanks for the suggestion.
  11. Just remember to keep breathing. I admit it, I am 28 years old and WILL be taking a stuffed bunny to my surgery to keep me calm (well, as calm as possible). I suggest you take something you can focus your energies on like an ipod with your favorite music.
  12. I asked the doctor's office if they could give me a valium to take to get me there the morning of my surgery but she said no because I have to be nonmedicated when I sign the waivers for surgery. Makes sense but did not help my nerves any. I hope you are right and we can come back and laugh at this. I am seriously nervous about the procedure but do appreciate your encouragement. Thanks so much!
  13. Thank you for your encouragement. I need all the reassurance I can get. Once I get the surgery part over I think I will be okay. One hurdle at a time.
  14. I have severe issues with hospitals, needles, etc. I have been "knocked out" when my wisdom teeth were pulled and when I had shots in my back. BOTH times I remember what happened. I know that general anestesia is different but I still have a phobia that I will remember the surgery. My surgery date is April 24, 2009 and the closer it gets the more anxiety I get...any suggestions?
  15. I am a new member to this forum and am scheduled to be banded April 24, 2009. I am scared to death. I have a lot of medical phobias but it has taken me over three years to get insurance approval so I cannot back out now! I am ready for this change.
