  1. Anything new down there? I am just now getting back on track I guess after a couple of months of needing a fill and not being able to get one...I was just happy not to gain during that time! Now I can only eat tiny meals or get a bitch-slap from the mistress of bitch-slaps...my band! Let me know how youre doing...

  2. Hey Cutie! Well I am scheduled for May 6th...what;s up with you??? Cali

  3. Jigglypuff...where are you...???

  4. Hey Puff! I am scheduled for May 6th,,,whats up with you? Cali

  5. Hey! How is it going???

  6. Dear Terel, Last I heard you were having some time-of-the-month cravings...how is it going now?? I am set for May 6th...two weeks from today! Cali

  7. Good luck with the procedure...sounds like good trouble to have in a way!

  8. Oh, everyone has posted replies to someone else on their oown page! This site is not user friendly at all. I really dont know where you get one but I would just type it in as a search term on the internet...Ebay maybe?

  9. Just saw your pictures...WOW!!! There are no words to describe the change and how great you look. You look like a teenager now!!!

  10. Yep, $50 on various websites and as low as $7 on Ebay!

  11. Just realized I am at 90% of excess weight lost, 7 pounds to normal BMI...thanks mainly to my 'port whisperer" doc!

  12. I am 48 years old and got banded two years ago...I wish I could have done it way sooner but its the best thing I ever did for myself. You will do great!

  13. We are similar in terms of the stats..I was banded 6 months a go and have lost (ONLY???) 30 pounds. I think thats ok and Ill keep losing till I'm in the right place for me. My formerly skinny days when I was 22 are not coming back and thats ok!!!I really am just going to try to maintain my sweet spot interms of restriction (I am there now) and just let the chips (the scale) fall where they may!!

  14. Good luck, I think you'll do fine. I eat out quite a bit still but I have to bring home a LOT of food since I cant eat very much! I still eat some junk food but a lot of it has lost its luster for me...you will get a lot of support here...hard to get it from friends and family who arent going through the same thing! BEST wishes!

  15. Thought I would send you a little message of support. If you are not filled to the sweet spot you are struggling too much. Yes there is work and behavior change but the worst of it is in between needed fills. I needed a fill for two months and couldnt get one due to work travel and I feel I really suffered just to maintain my weight...I could eat ANYTHING and if I had good willpower well I prob wouldnt have had to fork out a ton of cash ( yes, self pay!) for this band!!Now I got two fills just about ten days apart and I am so thankful to only be able to eat tiny meals...otherwise PAIN and slime!!! Also, I really dont exercise much and when I am good on the fill I still lose...hope this is helpful, good luck..Diane

  16. PS: I also self payed and its the best money I ever spent...i would do it all again in a snap!

  17. The reference in Band Groupie's blog brought me to your thread...its really a good one, hope lots of people see it. Thanks, Cali

  18. I got the whey protein powder from GNC and added it to vegetable soups. I like those soups in a box kind of like a milk carton...they're made by V-8. Tomato and butternut squash were the best. Cottage cheese is good if you like it.

  19. How's it going??? Have you followed BG to her new blog?

  20. Of course there is risk to any surgery but the lap band is very minimal. My surgeon has had no deaths and no serious complications. Find a good surgeon who shows his complication rates.I dont want to be rude but if you are around 100 pounds overweight your risks are higher from the obesity than the surgery. And if you have been overweight and failed to lose and keep a weight off for many years...(like most of us) this may be just what you need. You will find most people on this site feel like the band has saved their lives!Good luck, you'll get lots of support and straight answers here!

  21. Havent seen your blog in a while...hope everything is ok!

  22. Oh, good luck on your surgery and MAKE SURE they are giving you an abdominal binder for afterwards...otherwise go buy one at a drugstore!! It holds your sore tummy in where if you take it off gravity pulls your tummy even in bed and you are miserable! Let me know if you have any other questions....Diane

  23. How are you doing after that fill? Have you followed BG to her new site?

  24. Hey! Hoe are you doing these days?? Have you followed BG to her new place??? Keep in touch!

  25. Well hang in there...did you know you can buy the extender so you dont have to ask? I am hoping you wont need it but whenever I gave myself deadlines to lose a certain amount of weight by a certain time it didnt go welll. I always stayed at exactly the same weight when my restriction loosened up and then started losing weight easily when I got a good fill.I never could limit intake or increase
