  1. I am sorry to hear that you are having thise problem. Mine is another problem. I had a fill on tuesday, and today pretty much everything goes down, and I don't have to take small bites or chew chew chew either. When will that start?? Also debbie, you just had your surgery 3 months ago and have done so well... and you only got your first fill a few weeks ago.. Any advice?
  2. Thanks girls for the information. I did call the doc's office today, and the nurse said that I should be on liquids 5 days, mushies 5 days, then regular food. Well then I asked her if I could try and see if I could eat sooner than that. She said they would rather I didn't, they would rather I forget that I can eat, at least for those 10 days. I guess their 10 day thing is for more weightloss because of lack of food, rather than because of the band. Doesn't that seem funny?
  3. Hi all, Ok so I got my first fill yesterday. My band is a 11cm and yesterday my doctor admitted that he had put in 2cc at time of surgery and yesterday he put in 3cc, which makes a total of 5cc. So here is my question, what am I supposed to do after a fill? Today I had hot milk for Breakfast, lentil Soup for lunch, and water.. How long is this liquid diet supposed to last? Do I then move to mushies? soft foods? or start eating normally like I was before the fill?? The nurse said something weird which is why I am confused, she said when you start eating in 10 days!! I thought 10 days? Sounds like post-op all over again! Any help would be appreciated. Also, when will I know if I have any restriction? Danah
  4. Hi All, I had my surgery on March 15, doing better now with moving around and living normally again. I do have a problem with gas though, I mean seriously, I never thought I could make this many noises, or relieve myself so LOUDLY, like an explosion (sorry if TMI). Does this go away? I lost 13 pounds in the first 10 days and since then nothing. I have no restriction and get anything I want to down fairly easily. Hope the fill will change that..
  5. Thanks all, My dinner is tomorrow night. Will give you an update, and I think the only way my skirt will fit is if I wear the Spanx so I hope I can.. No more liquid coming up, good sign I hope, I'm just so hungry .. The shakes just aint cuttin' it
  6. This meal issue post op is puzzling to me, but I guess it's because every doctor is different. My post-op diet is to have clear liquids for 10 days, and another 10 of liquids along with protein shakes, milk, yogurt, and jello... I cannot eat mushies till day 21... It's interesting to see that everyone starts food at different times post-op.
  7. Hi, I know this may be insensitive talking about food because I know many of us are still only a few days post op, but I can't help it ... I am 10 days post-op and I swear I can think of nothing else but this great falafel sandwich, or grilled cheese sanswich, or turkey sub that I would love to be eating right now.. Does this get better once I go into the soft food stage (only taking liquids).. Will this go away once I start to eat again? I find it hard to concentrate sometimes because I'm thinking about what I would like to eat... Maybe cuz I'm HUNGAAARY, and I'm sick of drinking? Advice?
  8. Thanks you all for the replies! I find it amazing that no one wears or wore body shapers! I wear them all the time, and especially to family/friend events, not always to work! I don't want to squeeze too tight though that's all... crzytchr, about the dinner, It's a huge family event and I only told immediate family about the surgey, so I will "pretend" to be on a diet.. I live everyday with temptation having to feed my kids and see others eat, so I pray I will be fine.. Just be strong, right? I guess we will always have temptation since this is a long life commitment, why not start now ) Will let you know how I do... maybe I'll sneak in a slimfast Protein shake lol! Rachel, thanx for the encouragment, hope I do as well as you! Melissa, sorry but I laughed at the thought of milk coming back up.. Anyone else fit too tightly into a spanx?
  9. Hello, I was banded March 15, and something funny happened last night 6 days post op!. I was doing fine all day with my clear liqauids, then at night I had some chamomile tea and went in to my son's room and bent over to tuck him in, when I stood staight again, I felt that nasty feeling in my mouth (the one you get when you KNOW you will vomit) and then I vomitted pure liquid! Why does that happen? I have been fine all week. I thought liquid just rolls through the band??. WHat happenes when I start drinking thicker shakes?? Also, back to the tile of the thread. I have a formal dinner to go to on thursday, and was wondering if any of you gals wore spanx/body shapers so soon after surgery? Can I squeeze myself in or will I do damage?? One more thing, still feeling weird when sleeping on side.. normal?? Danah
  10. OH i forgot to mention leg cramps, some tingling in my calfs, what's that all about? Thanks
  11. Hello All, I had my surgery on March 15th, and am feeling weird pains in my chest (breasts) and face.. Could it be gas? and also, sorry to say this, but I have not had a BM whatsoever since my surgery, is that normal?
