  2. Hi all, 12 days PO here. Was doing amazing and all of a sudden yesterday I developed left shoulder pain, the same feeling I had early PO. I’m freaking out bc I have in my head this could be a leak, I didn’t sleep all night over it. I rang my surgeon he told me since I don’t have a fever, or anything else it could be gas. Did anyone else have something like this, esp being this far out?
  3. Hi all! I am 8 days post-op and doing well, however my calves are so sore, like after Charley horse. No swelling or redness so I don’t think this is a clot. Has anyone experienced anything like this?
  4. Hi everyone! I’m having surgery Tuesday the 29th, anyone else? I’m so scared, not so much of going under, but what to expect afterwards. I feel like no matter how much you prepare for it, you’re never full prepared if that makes sense?
  5. You will definitely get stuck at least ONE time...I remember when I got stuck for the first time I began to scream in panic but it hurt soooo bad...But I was so new to the lap-band at the time and I was heating up some chicken and I pop a piece cold chicken and chewed maybe 2 times lol...And OH MY GOD... I fell into my old habit, and let me tell u I learned from that day to NEVER do that lol. With that being said, being banded for the 1st few months its difficult bc it's trial and error, and when u do get stuck just relax and it'll pass...if not then u will bring it up...But try to avoid that at all costs.
  6. Sooo I made it through the week of surgery, even though this is my 2nd time around bc of a slip I must say I got my butt kicked this time around!!! But its been 7 days now and I am having a low-grade fever that ranges from 98-99.7 I saw my PMD and she didn't seem so worried about it bc it's not much, and my scars are all healing pretty good. Anyone else have a fever for a week? I am starting to get worried... Besides that i am getting the worst night sweats i wake up literally in water! I am only 24yrs old so no menopause here, but WOW I feel bad for the woman that go through this!!!! Anyone have night sweats after surgery?
  7. I was re-banded on December 6th due to a slip I had...While repairing that they also found a large hiatal hernia and repaired it which was probably causing my heartburn...Since then i've been pretty uncomfortable, not so much the band but where the hernia was repaired. I have the back pain, and I feel like a elephant is sitting on my chest, and It is also a little difficult for me to take a deep breath...Did u feel like that also?

  9. I went in for revision yesterday, and they kept me over night because I had a huge hiatal hernia, and they were scared of a pneunothorax...I stayed and everything was ok during the night..But I have the horrible gas pain, and trying to walk it out. Has anyone had chest pain after surgery due to the gas? I am 24, and healthy but I have a million thoughts goin on in my head! Help... lol
  10. Hey I am also curious, how did you know that your band slipped besides goin to the doctor...Did you have any symptoms..Tuesday is gonna be a year for me since banding, and I have lost 80lbs, and I am doin great...But I developed slight heartburn, and tomorrow I am goin for a BS...So I hope that comes back negative!
  11. I just got a fill yesterday, and now im up to 4cc's....Does anyone get a feeling of nausea after a fill..??
  12. Thanks for replying back both of you. I have 3cc's in a 10cc band If I'm correct. I have a problem (or I should say bad habit) with eating fast, and taking big bites. So today I decided I need to really slow it down a few notches to see how things go. So I had some success today, I took my time and I didn't have that feeling. I also spoke with the nurse at my doctors office, and he thinks I could be really inflamed and to take it slowly...Either way I am seeing him on Thursday, so we'll see how things go. Pray for me
  13. About 2 weeks ago I had a really bad case of getting stuck, about a week after getting a fill. So since that PB episode I did the usual, 24hrs of liquids and stayed light with my food choices about 2 days after that. Recently since that PB episode things aren't RIGHT....Every time I eat something, BUT not all the time I get that feeling of "oh no im stuck pain" to immediately going away. I am extremely nervous as to what is causing this...Has anyone felt this way? Could it be a slip, or just really inflamed?
  14. Banded April 1st...Love my band I have lost 52lbs so far...I have a 10cc band I think, with one fill of 3cc's....Yesterday had a piece of dry chicken, worst thing anyone can do lol...Anyway I got so stuck i was in SOOOO MUCH PAIN...I wanted to die...I PB'ED a few times till finally the pain subsided. Now I have some after affects, and I want to know what you other lapbanders out there think... Since my PB yesterday...I stopped food, and did liquids the whole nite...This morning i did only my coffee, and now made some lentil Soup...Now i have this crampy feeling, as if my tummy isn't happy...The crampy feeling is more on the right side then my left...BUT i can keep down liquids, and mushies ok...I just have this weird feeling.... I don't know if i should call the doctor for something that is normal...What do u guys think?
  15. Thanks for the advise guys!!! I ended calling the doc because I was a little scared...He said I can start eating solids like chicken and stuff, but to take it easy...And if I have anymore problems to let him know...But I think I am doing ok!
  16. I am 3wks post-op i've been doing great so far...Yesterday I was at work with no lunch, which was bad on my part. I bought a salad from our cafe, I figured i'll chew it well...It had a whole assortment of things on it..Bacon,tomatoes,feta cheese, corn so I thought I'd pick more on the smaller things than the actually lettuce. Well, I ate and im trying to control my eatting habits because I do eat fast...And yesterday I do believe i ate fast...After i was finish I had this sense of omg im sooooo full, but that lasted for hoursssssssssss....I was uncomfortable because of the mere fact it wasn't going away. I was walking around, nothing! Finally after a few hours i started sipping on water because i was thirsty, and the feeling of fullness would come back. I am scared because my doc told me i can add solids but to be careful, and im scared I may have done something bad.... I am up this morning feeling ok, but the anxiety isn't helping Any advice would be greatly appreciated....
