  1. Congratulations I know your son will hold that memory with you close to his heart.
  2. I agree you need to look into getting another Dr. Also anti - depressants can sometimes have the opposite effect on your weight. Good Luck
  3. I have a question for those of you who have hit the green zone. You have the right restriction and are losing weight. What does it feel like? IS there pain with eating or swallowing? Are you able to eat solids (in small bites, of course.) Please let me know. Thanks:thumbup:
  4. Hi I had a fill on Tuesday (two day ago) and I am not sure if it is to tight. I am able to keep liquids down but I can only take small sips. Otherwise I have a pain in my chest. I can't even think of starting soft foods soon. Should I call the doctor or will this pass a few more days out from the fill? Any suggestions on what to do would be appriated. I am starting to think should I have really done this, was I being to drastic. Mat be I should just have the band unfilled. Please give me some advise. Thanks:unsure:
  5. Hi Don't giv eup on yourself. I think one time or another we have all felt the same way you do. You say what good would 20 steps do? Well you have to start somewhere and 20 will get you to 21, to22 and so on. Also so have you thought of working out in water even if you just find a swallow pool put on t-shirt and shorts and walk to lenght of the pool a couple of time. It might help with the pain. Good luck and I hope to see you posted soon that you got your surgery date.
  6. Hi LovedinFl I had the same problem. I was gaining weight once the fills started. I asked the nurse if I was the only person he has seen that comes in for weight loss surgery and gains weight? He laughed and said that he sees a lot of people gain one to two pound between visits until they hit the right tightness for that person. You just have to be patient and don't be hard on yourself. I go back to morrow and think I am getting close to being at the right tightness. Just keep the faith. Oh and I go every two weeks for a fill but I think every doctor is different with how often they will fill certain people. Good Luck
  7. You will do great. I was really nervous before my surgery. But everything went smooth and it was the easiest recovery I had with surgeries. Good Luck!!
  8. I was banded in March and have only lost one pound. I had some port filling issues. But I am trying to remember one pound is one pound. Lets hope it keeps going in the right direction.
  9. Hi Don't feel bad. A few years a go I tried Opti-fast as one of my many diets. And I would throw up everytime I tried to drink one, then I also became weak and would get headaches. I stopped that diet after a few days. So just know it can happen to anyone.
  10. O.K. so everyone has those tickers. and I have tried again and again to get it on my page but I can not figure it out. Can anyone help me. I want one too!. Thanks:thumbup:
  11. Heartfire thanks for responding. I am starting to fill better and the golf ball thing seems to be going better. Thanks for the advice I will defiantly take it. Also Thanks for the info on how to start a new thread. But what exactly does PB mean?
  12. I need some advice about fills. Four weeks ago I had the first fill where I felt some restriction, when I went back two weeks later (last Tuesday) I still had not lost any weight. SO they filled me again. Now I have a lot of restriction. When I swallow it fills like I am swallowing a golf ball and sometimes it hurts for awhile after. I have not thrown up but I have had some slimming with some meals. Will it loosen up after a few days? Do I need to eat slower, smaller, or do I need to have fluid removed. Any help you could provide is appreciated. I am getting discouraged and a little scared. Thanks :smile2: P.S. Sorry to post a question on your thread but I can not figure out how to start a new thread for the life of me. So if can help me out with that to I would appreciate it. Happy fourth
