So I had date #1 last night. We had been talking all week on the phone, so I knew we'd have a good time, which we did. He brought me flowers (which I haven't gotten in 3 years!!), actually listened to the previous conversations we had on the phone, and admitted he was so excited for last night that he couldn't sleep the night before. He was so nice and sweet, and I felt very comfortable with him, like I had known him for years. The down side - he was a bad dresser. Black jeans and black sneakers...not my style. That, and when we went to dinner he kind of held his fork like a little kid. The whole way home I berrated myself about being too picky and that this is why I am single. But on the other hand I don't want to settle. I deserve the whole package. Right now I'm leaning towards going out another time and seeing how that goes. What do you guys think? Date #2 is tonight - I'll post tomorrow and let you know how things go with this guy.

So my friends, I cannot believe what a crazy week this has been. I have gone from zero men activity to 6 guys actively pursuing me. How quickly things change! lol. I have that date tomorrow night, another one for Saturday (which I filled after another guy had to cancel), and then 3 other guys who are calling and looking to meet. That's the thing about Match - it's either feast or famine. Anyway, I got a kick out of this and though you girls would too. Wish me luck!!

Deb I had asked Sherry if she wanted to come to dinner with us and she said yes. Once we figure out when and where, we can always post to see if anyone else wants to join too. Hey Dez - great news on the fertility doc! That is awesome!! I am very excited for you. I tend to snack at night too. It's hard to break those old habits, that's for sure. I just flew in January and had no problems whatsoever. I loved that the seatbelt fit better too! I think those favors sound great for your mom's party. Oh, and I'm psyched that you''ll be going to the reunion! It will be great to see you again!

Congrats timeforchange! Dr Jones and his staff are great! Best of luck with your surgery! I was just in today to see Kelly for my 4 month follow up. I lost an average of 2lbs a week since I was in last, so they were very happy. I feel like I could have done a better job, but isn't that always the way?? I saw Michelle today Deb and mentioned that we were planning on grabbing dinner while you were down this way in a couple of weeks. They think it's so cute that we're friends form the website. lol. Sherry and I also RSVP'd for the reunion in March. Hopefully some of you guys will go as well so we catch up again! John - how's that liquid diet going??? Hope everyone is doing well - Dez, Nana, KayDot, and anyone else I've missed.

Awwww...you guys are too kind to me. I haven't really been feeling all that hot about myself lately. Not sure if it's being sick, the hair falling out, or just my mind playing tricks on me. Yes I've lost 40 lbs, but don't always see it when I look in the mirror. I seemed to have lost my mojo! haha

Sorry to hear the date didn't go well TexasRose. I think what's important to focus on is that he wasn't YOUR type. I know personally I have been guilty of worrying more if someone likes me, before I even figure out if I really like them. I'm done with that now. I'm being picky. I deserve it, and so do you! He sounds like a loser and definitely doesn't deserve someone as wonderful as you!

And in good company! :confused: I was away this weekend for a convention for my charity group. i didn't want to go because I was tired, but I had a lot of fun! My cough is still hanging on, and I may end up going back to the docs this week. We'll see I guess. I've read all the posts, but just don't have the energy for personals. Next time! I still have to clean and cook (hear ya Sherry!). My family invited themselves over for the Superbowl. I know I'm going to regret my TV purchase! lol I took a new pic with my cell phone this weekend. Thought I'd post for Beanie since I think she asked back when. For some reason all the pics I take with my cell phone make me look like I have a huge nose! Go figure. Thanks for the input everyone. The game is next Friday, and we actually spoke on the phone tonight and got along well. We found out that we graduated from the same university, the same year. How funny! Granted it was a HUGE school so we never knew each other existed. lol. We also found out that we have the same numbers for our Superbowl Squares tomorrow night. Colts 3, Bears 0. It must be fate! KIDDING!!! But I do think it's ironic. I'll definitely keep you guys updated. I'm just happy I'll have some stories to share!!!

I'm not into long hair on guys either, but definitely like the baldies. Besides, men lose their hair because of too much testosterone and you know what that means....... :confused: So I've been talking to this guy on Match for about a week, and he wanted to meet up this weekend but I'm booked. I suggested maybe next weekend instead, so he invited me to go to a Celtics game with him on Friday night. So my question is, should I go??? I'm just worried that it will be a long time to be stuck with him if there's no attraction. lol. What do you guys think?

Hey everyone! I've been trying to avoid this thread because of all this cake talk. hahaha! Just kidding! For those of you who've asked - the new place is great! I'm settling in a bit more every day. Unfortunately my bronchitis is not getting any better. I saw the Doc again on Monday and was put on another 10 days of antibiotics and a steriod inhaler. I had a coughing fit so bad this morning that I either bruised or fractured a rib. I can't take a deep breath without immense pain and it feels like someone is stabbing me when I cough. I sure do know how to get sick, huh?! lol. Oh well, what can you do?! Besides, as we saw today with Kat's post, it can always be worse. Well I think I'm off to bed early tonight. I'm going to take some nyquil (actually tylenol's brand) to see if that helps me sleep any better. Hugs to you all!
