Anyone Else Having Surgery In Mexico In June?
Ugh, small hiccup in my plans. My aunt who was supposed to go with me to Mexico cant get the time off of work. Its totally understandable and im not angry or mad or anything but just a little more apprehensive about going alone. I REALLY REALLY wish my husband was going with me but by that time he'll be working in Alaska (he leaves april 18th). Im a tough girl and I dont fear going alone, just wish I had someone to be there for me when I wake up... Anyway....still looking for someone who will be in TJ the same time as me June 13th thru the 18th!

Anyone Else Have A Date Of Mid-June?
Hello, pretty new to this side of the board...had my heart set on the band and then watched how the weight just didnt come off for a friend of mine and then watched my cousin have the VSG and watched the lbs just literally melt off in months. Made my decision alot easier! Anyway, if all goes right, I will have surgery on June 14th. Was hoping to connect with other people having surgery on or about the same time! My support system right now is my husband, who is leaving in less than 1 month to go work in Alaska for 6 months :-( The only other family I have is my sister, who doesnt approve and my father who has other things on his plate to worry about. Really looking forward to finding friends to connect with....Im always down for a good text conversation, or email! Goood luck to everyone! :-)

Am I Nuts About This Concern Regarding Getting Surgery In Tijuana, Mexico?
Or....dont take your wife, have one of your guy friends go with you, or better yet bring both your wife and guy friend so they can talk and keep each other busy while you are in surgery and recovery....hope it all works out!

How Did You Choose The Lap-band Vs Other Procedures?
Thanks everyone for you answers, It really helps to have input from people who have been/are in the same shoes :-)

How Did You Choose The Lap-band Vs Other Procedures?
I was just wondering how all of you chose the lap-band over gastric by-pass, VSG and the other options available? Was it the Dr's recommendation? Research? Own personal decision? Knew a friend? For me (and I havent had mine done yet) I saw how my mother in law looked after she had gastric bypass, and to be honest, what she went thru scared the sh*t out of me! My cousin had VSG in May and has lost a ton of weight but it all seems so permanent. The take a huge part of your stomach away and resection your intestines to conform to this new stomach and that seems so scary! The band seems to have the right idea, and if there is ever a point where I feel like I might not be in the "green-zone" then I can have a fill. What do people with gastric bypass or other surgical options do??? Sorry to vent, but as you all know, once you make the decision to have WLS that is ALL YOU THINK ABOUT! LOL Thanks in advanced for your opinions :-)

UGH, heavy lifting is 75% of my job! I hope the boss will be alright with me not being able to work at 100%! I'll have to have a talk with her before I have surgery and see how she feels...thanks for the info!

Recovery..how Long Until I Can Go Back To Work After Lap Band Surgery ?
Hi, newbie here. In fact, this is my first post! I have an appointment for my initial consultation on Jan 4th and im sure I will get this answer at that appointment but I cant wait that long! I need to know how fast you all were able to go back to work. I have a pretty physically demanding job and need to know how long I will be out. I can be on light duty if needed. Im excited about being able to go back to work after some of this weight comes off and hopefully feel a little better at the end of the day!!! Happy to meet you all and hope to make some new friends here

Why do women have anal sex?
This is my first time on this website let alone this thread, but I had to give my two cents... Anal can be great if you have a ton of lube and remember to add some periodically....lol I dont think im out of the ordinary...ok, ok maybe I am kinkier than most .... LOL
