  1. I'm totally serious too! If anyone has any doubts about going alone I'm more than willing to tag along! Just need a little notice of course!!
  2. I went alone so I worried that putting my laptop in my backpack would be much weight for me to carry back pre-op. let me tell you, I wish I had it with me! There were times I sure could have used it! If someone is going with you, I'd suggest bringing it, or an iPad if you have one :-)
  3. I was telling Jen today that I would jump at the chance at going with someone if they didn't want to go alone. Good luck to you all, you chose a great surgeon!
  4. If mine were alive I definitely would have taken her!! I was lucky to have two girls I met online there with me :-)
  5. I was in Tijuana and I never once felt unsafe and I went several places.
  6. The hospital is Oasis and the hotel is Lucerna, you can google "hotel Lucerna in Tijuana" and check it out online...it's very beautiful and very relaxing!
  7. Nothing has changed in my house as far as what the kids eat. I still cook for them the same way as I did before surgery. My cooking wasn't the problem, the problem was what I ate when the kids weren't around!!!
  8. Nope, just skim milk. I figure at this point I don't care about flavor, just trying to get some liquids in while trying to feel somewhat full. I guess if you need to you can add a packet of Splenda or something.
  9. Cream of wheat settles my tummy and goes down wery well, I've had great luck with it as long as I thin it out with a little skim milk
  10. Dr Kelly? Drug problem? That makes me laugh that someone (coordinator) would stoop THAT low. One look at that athletic, healthy, well groomed, taken care of man would know that is the furthest thing from the truth. And I can GUARANTEE that anyone who has ever dealt with him would agree with me 100% I'm actually offended that someone would even go that low. Someone obviously jealous that Dr. Kelly doesn't NEED a coordinator to bring in business like he does.
  11. Finally back home! Really retaining alot of water in my feet. Guess I'll focus on getting lots of water in, until them I'm staying off the scale!
  12. Don't base your decision on what the coordinators tell you. They are paid to only promote their doctors. Do your research. Choose a doctor based on their experience, bedside manner, how they interact with patients and their family. In the end, ALL THAT MATTERS is the person holding the scalpel blade.
  13. I'm doing great! Cousins be happier with my decision and the dr and nurses and everyone else are just great!
