  2. I'm not sure if you read all the posts from the beginning of this thread. But I'm only looking for "temporary weight loss". thanks though. I learned alot from what you wrote.
  3. thanks dascjp1 and Bettina and everyone else who responded.. I ordred the powder colon cleanse to do the next two weeks. Sounds like it is a good thing all around. Thank you guys for responding so quickly and thouroughly. I have googled colon cleanse and things of that nature and I learned so much. thanks again.
  4. we do have pharmacies. Im working graves all weekend so my bf said he want and talked to all the pharmacists and they don't know what he is talking about. some reason, i don't believe him. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. seems like a very regular item for any chain store to have. wanna get something done, just gotta do it yourself I guess.
  5. where can you buy these (any of these). I live in farely small town. There is no rite-aid. There is however, a Super Walmart, a K-mart, and a Savon drugs. Is it something the pharmacist sells over the counter? or do you just have to start going down the aisles and looking for yourself?
  6. I am doing the HMR for my pre-op diet. Is it possible to lose 10 pounds in 14 days on that? I sure hope so, because I have not only NOT lost any weight since I got my surgery date a month ago, but I have actually gained a pound. :help:
  7. nevermind. googled it. SOUNDS FUN!!!!
  8. What is a colon cleanse and what kind of doctor do you see to get one?
  9. what is a colon cleanse and what kind of doctor do you see for that?
  10. btw, love your ticker Barbara! :biggrin1:
  11. only ten more days luv2luv. How are you doing with the pre-op weight loss? I'm having some difficulty myself. Excited for you!:clap2:
  12. You guys are so right. I have done diets and stuck to them longer than two weeks. I think I'm just feeling sorry for myself. I'm not even going to wait until my liquid diet starts on monday, I'm going to sign off and take my big butt on a walk right now. I worked so hard just to get the "surgery date". Reading through my original post made me feel a little pathetic. Sheesh....I'm gonna make the decision to do the right thing. After all, it is up to me and no one else. Thanks girls and I will keep you posted.
  13. So far that is what I had planned. Just excerise my buns off and stick to my liquid diet without cheating. I have been working towards this for four years. WHAT AM I THINKING!!!!
  14. you have come to the right place! This site has answered more questions for me in the last couple months, than my 4 years worth of research of gastric bypass vs. lap-band. Good luck girl!
  15. Am I the only one who has done this? I have to loose ten pounds by August 1st or they will not do my surgery. I have actually stayed the same. Am I sabotaging myself like I did on all those other diets. I start my liquid diet Monday but I'm sure I cannot loose ten pounds in 14 days. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas. I am do disappointed in myself.:cry
  16. I am definately in the same boat you are. My surgery is just days after yours. I also have a 2 1/2 year old running around and am worried about my energy after surgery. I also realize that I don't have much energy now, before surgery, because of my weight. I am definately interested in how you do after surgery because our dates are so close together. Good luck to you. I am excited for you also. I would like to keep in touch as we will be going through the same things surgery wise, date wise, and toddler wise. Keep in touch.
  17. Congrats On The First Day Of The Rest Of Your Life. Good Luck!
  18. So Happy For All Of You. Update As Soon As You Can. Can't Wait To Here.
  19. CONGRATS. YOU LOOK WONDERFUL. I AM NOT BANDED YET BUT I AM DEFINATELY INSPIRED BY YOUR RESULTS.
  20. Got my date months earlier than expected. SURGERY DATE AUGUST 1ST!!! I'm so excited to start this journey. OH, who am I kidding. This has been a journey from the day I decided to do this. WISH ME LUCK FELLOW LAPBANDERS AND PRE-LAPBANDERS!:grouphug:
  21. Congrats!!!! I Have Some Good News Also. I Just Found Out My Surgery Date Is August 1st!
  22. from past posts from her I think it is called the body bugg. you can google it and there is a body bugg website. It is pricey but seems very worth it. I think I might dive right in with her and her body bugg band wagon.
  23. Is the liquid diet hard? Do you get hungry on it? That is what I'm most worried about.
  24. That would be great except I live over 4 hours away from Reno. When did you get your surgery date?
  25. Yes, I'm definately getting close, but my dr told the lady at the front desk to schedule me for about 3 months away. He said he wanted me to get a good exercise routine down first. That upset me a little because I'm a self-pay and I have paid him, the surgery center, and the anesthesiologist cash up front already. I just thought he could maybe schedule it for 6 weeks away. But then, this whole thing is such a "waiting game". I'm just bieng impatient I know, but when you decide to change your life, you want the changes RIGHT NOW! That's how I am anyways. . So are you still waiting for insurance approval? Will they approve you in time for your surgery? Hope so.
