  1. Aww thanks Maddie. I think of you all as my pals :confused1: Jane x
  2. Hi Chilo1, I am at goal but I figured to give myself a bit of leeway, so I am aiming at 130lbs now which is 3 more lbs to 9st 4lbs. I fist drank wine socially about 3 months out but very very rarely. I wanted to work the sleeve as much as possible to get to a comfortable size. I didn't really fancy the booze much to be honest anyway. I found normal diet drinks really boring, so developed a taste for virgin bloody marys, plenty of tabasco yum yum. And thats a grown up drink so looks OK at parties, you can pretend it has some voddy in it too. Jane x
  3. You will succeed and we can all have a sleeveless frock party!! Jane x
  4. I just looked at my log and my fat % ranges from 30% to nearly 50% and I still lost well. I am expecting my blood test results next week and I will post them as I am curious to see the effects of eating an average of 2 large eggs every day for the past year has been. Essentially I have been following an Atkins type programme because for me this gives long term fullness and energy. I don't waste my calories on carbs at all. My slow down now is due to being close to goal now and drinking beer and wine. Jane x
  5. Two words - Body Con !!!! I'll say no more.... Jane x
  6. Its a really good idea to do a 'how far have I come' check to pep you up. I remember when we were out with friends and we were chatting about my weight loss and we realised I had lost the entire weight of one of us, Ming who is a very small Indonesian lady. So after that the joke was I had lost a Ming. Or I had been walking around with a Ming on my back. When you look at the weight you have lost you realise why you felt tired all the time. We end up having lots of muscle under the fat just to bear it all. I read about cadaver dissection recently and apparently the fat bodies are impressively muscular after the adipose tissue has been removed, the skinny bodies are just weedy in comparison! Nice thought eh? Jane x
  7. Brilliant news Mini-Me. Love the wrestling story!! Jane x
  8. I would kill the arseholes on that forum if they were anywhere near me at the mo. Not a happy bunny here. Jane x
  9. I can manage to get 600ml of soup in if I take my time. If its dry hard protein like steak i can do maybe 4 oz and i am stuffed, fo a good long while. You have to work the sleeve to extract the max effect IMHO. Jane x
  10. I thought about my earlier posting and need to amend it to 'optional' biker underpants. What??? It's Friday, I am feeling a little frisky! Seriously Oroborous has done wonderfully, and it's so good to see him becoming happier and more confident. mate! Jane x
  11. Pizzas not that great, it's just the 'idea' of pizza. A residual yearning from the old days. I had as much pizza as I could manage a couple of months ago and I was up most of the night with the worst acid. never again, I will stick to chilli and high protein stuff. Jane x
  12. You are taking in 800 calories and burning 500 each day. Leaving 200 nett per day. Your body will have gone into starvation mode I reckon. Just my opinion. Jane x
  13. Doug you are so right  Jane x
  14. Hi greeneyes, you should be fine 3 months out, it should be well healed. Jane x
  15. Can you post a pic of you in just your biker underpants please? For an objective appraisal you understand....... Jane x
  16. Hi all, been looking and contributing to this thread on the BBC web site. Some of the people posting are the most horrible fascists. Do feel free to join in and put the boot in. BBC - Have Your Say: Should obesity surgery be offered more widely on the NHS? Enjoy. Jane x
  17. Just done a quick google search on LSL and it's a bit worrying OregonDaisy. I would be very wary and do tons of research on your surgeon. There are a load of very unhappy people out there with their faces ruined. Jane x
  18. I didn't post my totally before pics until recently because they are so so bad. Now I feel confident that she won't be back I can reveal her to the world! Jane x
  19. Congratz and welcome to the losers club. Jane x
  20. Thats less than a month away! Really good news. Jane x
  21. PPIs can cause dry mouth. I had odd coatings on my tongue in the earlier months as I recall. i put it down to a symptom of the detox that was going on. After all so much junk must have been dissolved in my fat cells that was being released into my blood stream again as the fat was burnt off. (I read somewhere that the body uses the fat cells to dispose of toxic waste that it can't deal with, like petsicides end up concentrated in them). My tongue looks normal now so don't worry. Jane x
  22. My coughing only occurs with food, not water too. If I eat dry food like bacon it can be quite irritating, especially if I am hungry and eat quite quickly. Although it has settled done massively recently. I emailed my surgeon and he did not know why this was happening and suggested I should get some upper GI test done but I have not got round to it yet. Jane x
  23. Nice one, I had forgotten about him Tiff!! Jane x
  24. Russell Crowe???? Surely not? Now that lovely Daniel Wroughton Craig would be a different kettle of fish, I took a fancy to him when I saw Layer Cake, do try and see it if you can. Jane x
  25. I sometimes cough if I eat too fast, but it seems to have subsided. Does it happen if you drink or is it just food? Jane x
