Happy with Six Months Out
Hi Pen this all sounds awsome. I have booken a NHS blood test for a weeks time and as I have spent the last year eating 2 eggs a day it will be interesteing to see my cholesterol scores. Maybe we should run a sweep? Dunno when I will get the results but will update as and when. Jane x

Constipation
Hi Sunshine, Unless we can manufacture mass from nothing there is no way we can go every day!!!!! This is my considered opinion after a bottle of red wine;-) The most we can achieve is a reasonably comfortable even every few days with the aid of fruit, veg and water plus exercise as inputs. Failing that senna pods. Jane xx

Changes in friends
Hi Qured, you can never tell how people will react but its better to give them the benefit of the doubt. All the changes you will experience in how you see yourself they will go through too in their own way. You are so lucky in Greece to have a summer BTW. The UK has been absolute pants for the last month!! Jane x

just a quick question about pre op weight loss
That was my experience too. For goodness sake we need this op because we cannot lose weight without it!! Your doctor sounds a bit cruel. Jane x

Constipation
No it will get better but it feels like forever!! I eat bran cereal every day now and at least one apple a day to keep it going, but I don't go every day, its just a volume thing. Jane x

I'm home from the hospital!!!
Its a tube they put down your throat into your stomach and use as a guide to stapling up the side of the stomach, removing the stretchy fundus part. The bougie is sized from 32 to 40 normally and that number is the diameter, so the smaller the bougie the smaller the stomach you have at the end. Jane x

I'm home from the hospital!!!
Hi PCindy, Thats really good you are finally done. It never occurred to me to exercise before my surgery, I just did the liver eeduction thing, but that is a good idea. Jane x

Goaaaaaaaalllll!!!!!!
Hi Sue, that is brilliant news. I will see if I can contact the Mail as I think it's more widely read by women, who seem to be far more open to these things;-) Cheers, Jane x

Goaaaaaaaalllll!!!!!!
Hi Sue, Thanks for the comment. When and where do you get VSG'd? I would love to 'raise awareness' (that sounds so facile doesn't it?) of this OK in the UK but don't really know where to start. I comment where I can when WLS comes up but the media only seems to promote or publicise the band and the bypass! I have no idea why apart from their complete laziness. Jane x

Goaaaaaaaalllll!!!!!!

Feeling Guilty
Yes Cleosan, emails are very difficult as I can write a work one with the words in a light tone in my head and then when my husband reads it his head voice has a sarcy tone!! Maybe I should just talk to him as he does sit 6 foot away from me most of the time while we are in the office, it's just I have such a shocking memory email gives me an audit trail and I can prove I told him stuff! Goaaaaaaaalllll!!!!!!
Thanks again, Breeezy asked how my life has changed. It has changed totally, I have options now, rather than just sitting in a chair working on my computer because quite frankly there was not much else I could or enjoy doing. Of course this has dramatically lowered my earnings as I just want to have fun these days LOL!! I feel so much happier, and find it easier to be outgoing without feeling ashamed of myself and secretly wondering what people are thinking about me. I know how critical people are of the overweight. I try to avoid these people and my friends have been my friends through thick and thin (literally) I am glad to say. My DH says he loved me fat and never felt ashamed of me, but I am glad I can present this body to the world now and know he can be proud of me physically too. And I love wearing clothes now. Apart from that I am the same person inside, still awkward and stroppy if I see something I think is wrong. Jane x

Goaaaaaaaalllll!!!!!!
Hi Dee, thanks and I look forward to that day too, hopefully not too long. I am 5' 6", but I used to be 5' 7 and a bit " so I have lost just over an inch due to old age and weight compression. Jane x

Goaaaaaaaalllll!!!!!!
Hi Globie, thanks and the goal was mine, I used to be 186lbs when I was married, after 3 months on the horrible Cambridge diet to get into The Dress, so I added another 7lbs to compensate for age etc.. Jane x

Don't fancy anything foodwise...
Just supplement with the horrible shakes until the normal logistic routes are available again. It really won't be that long in the greater scheme of things. Think of it as an induction rite to the mystical sister(and brother)hood of the Magic Sleeve :confused1: Jane x

Goaaaaaaaalllll!!!!!!
Thanks Oregondaisy, much appreciated. Good for you too being below target too. Jane x

Don't fancy anything foodwise...
For me it eventually went back to normal, that is normal for a normal person, not my pervious version of normal. I enjoy my food but I get satisfied quickly and then just don't want any more. It's like magic! Jane x
