I know the Dr that put mine in charges 6000 to remove the band....Someone asked on his message board once and that was ther answer they gave......He is a great doc....

Dody you were all over the girls eating dinner the night before their bands in Mexico a couple weeks ago......so I can't believe you wouldn't follow your American doctors orders since you claimed the hospital was one of the best in the USA....come on girl you yourself have enough posts under your band to know the rules....

I used Dr. Joya also ..... love him......Pelo I tried to find that info when I was researching and they were posts from 2003!!!!! And no one had the real info....I went to Joya and would go again in a hot minute he has a great team and works out of a clean and real hospital not a clinic..........I went because my primary care had gone to him we have the same insurance that does not cover lap band.........and she went with me it was great all the way

I joined the PB club today also...I was eating raw almonds maybe they were too dry I got that golfball feeling .....no pain...... so I drank water and next thing I knew it just all came up with no effort and I now know what slime is.......I have never had a fill yet so when I get one I think I may not need much.........thank goodness I had a towel in my hand ( I do hair) It would have been more embarassing

Yes the very experienced Mexican doctors make you go on a liquid liver shrinking diet IF your BMI is over 40 mine was for 14 days yours was 7 Dody ????....... :hungry: but having dinner the night before is not going to expand it overnight........My gosh woman think before you speak!!!!!!!!!:heh: As for pre testing they were very careful and did all the pre tests I needed...........They actually had a real hospital and electricity and clean Water..........and a nice car took me back to my 5 star hotel to recover not a donkey:p

I saw them do it on a episode of Supersize surgery to that guy Nick..he was almost 400 lbs........is your BMI really high by chance?????????

I went to Dr. Joya in Puerto Vallarta he has a website and a board to read......what a nice man he has a great team ... and a super clean hospital..I posted pics in the photo area of his website ...I chose him because my old PCP had him do hers because of his recomendations and our insurance we both have didn't cover Lap Bands....I was one of 4 that day and we all keep in touch and all are doing great

Mine is on my left about 2 inches below my bra it is said to be a easy fill there and they have had good sucess with it not turning

I am sorry... you posted it 20 min apart on 2 threads.........It was outdated and shouldn't be out there to scare people...I think we should be careful what we post more so when we duplicate it......I am sorry you are troubled......If you even thought it was outdated why did you bother to post unless you knew it was all factual?????

Dr C I was banded 6-12 and I just got my monthly cycle today I get really bad cramps and in the past have used 800 iuboprofen to get rid of them..........I am afraid I won't be able to work.......what can I do?

What years were the 3 yr study in? Haven't they made advances in placement etc?.....This is only my personal opinion but from reading all the posts the people who seem to get into trouble may have the band too tight too long????? I am a newbie only 2 weeks out but it seems to go together.......maybe a good post for Dr C to read

I was banded 2 weeks ago today by the same DR....It was a very clean little hospital..and I have no complaints...I know she is in good hands....I just wish she could have taken along a friend or someone.......I am sure she will be fine......I can't wait to hear

Dr Joya is actually a gastroenterologist did you tell him about your problems beforehand?

Dr C How long do you ask paitents to wait before exercising..like at curves? Thank you
