  1. Bernadette, I had the same issue with my last fill but I rode it out and it eventually settled down. When you eat are making sure you're taking very small bites and chewing the heck out of it? Are you sipping your liquids slowly. I know it may seem obvious but I caught myself a few times and realized that I just needed to slow down.
  2. Bernadette, I think I warned you about this. The same thing happened to me. I was fine the first two days and then BAM! I had issues for about 3 days and then things smoothed out. I was restricted in the mornings and then that smoothed out and now I'm famished and ready for another fill. Give it time and just stick to what you're able to tolerate. I know it sucks but it eventually gets better. I'm gonna try to get a fill on thursday and I'm sure I'll be complaining about the same thing.
  3. SO did no one else lose any weight last week??
  4. I got one from Fashionable Medical Identification Jewelry & Medical ID Bracelets The way I see it it doesn't hurt to have it. One quick look at my wrist and they know my medical issues. Time is of the essence in an energency.
  5. I lay on a flat surface and it seems to make the stuck food flow back.
  6. I'm a flight attendant and will be returning to work in about three weeks. I'll let you know how the band feels as I'll be doing Int'l and Trans Continental Flights.
  7. I had Morphine Elixir...Simply amazing.
  8. Depending on the time of day that my fill is scheduled I may avoid eating altogether. If I find the need to have something I'll have a protein bullet mixed with water and crystal light.
  9. Since no one has posted the weekly weigh in I figured I would go ahead and do it. How was your week? Did you exercise? Are there some areas you think you can improve on? Or do you have something inspiring to share with the group? Last week I weighed 189 and as of today I'm now 187. I'm doing it slow and steady.
  10. Bernadette that's awesome! Keep up the good work and just pace yourself....I'm finding that my fills don't kick in until a good 4 days afterwards. I can eat my mushies fine etc and then BAM! RESTRICTION CITY!! I have clothes in my closet that range from size 18 to a size 3/4. Crazy I know!! My 16's are fitting me just right and today I put on a pair of yoga pants that I couldn't fit into before the surgery. Not only do they fit but they're kinda baggy on me. I have a pair of Seven Jeans and I think they're a 6...I would love to wear those jeans some day.
  11. I haven't gotten anything stuck in my band but I have had stuff stuck in my throat and then I burped it right back up. I imagine having something stuck in your band must heart like hell!!! Good Luck today Bernadette!
  12. Gabi, Just wait until you get your fill and have more restriction. I didn't get my restriction until I was filled to 6cc's. Holy Moly! Just give it some time and you'll be making posts like ours lol.
  13. Thanks so much Kelin Tx! I've been drinking tea in the am followed by a Protein Shake or Water with Protein and Crystal Light. I'm pretty tight up until about 4 or 5 and then BAM! I can eat anything. I have been careful about eating mainly Proteins followed by veg. I'm just worried about the amount of protein I'm able to consume once the band has opened up. I worry that I maybe eating too much even.
  14. I'm not in a rush to lose weight quickly I'm just trying to figure out the band. It's crazy how in the morning I can't eat anything and then evening rolls around and I'm wide open. That's what my post is about. Why are there such extremes??
  15. Hi Everyone, I was banded on 3/18. I've had 4 fills since my surgery and now have 6ccs in a 10 cc band. I can't eat anything for Breakfast or lunch without getting stuck and PBing. So I've been doing liquids. It seems that no matter what time of the day I have my first meal of solids I get stuck. No amount of chewing slowly, taking small bites or eating slowly seems to help. I am at my wits end. Once evening time rolls around I have no issues eating and I'm starving. I just wanted to know if this is normal and what's the best way to get through this. I'm not keen on getting another fill because I'm so restricted early in the day but once evening rolls around I'm ravenous. Please help!!!
  16. Hey everyone, I'm having issues with breakfast and lunch eating. I always get stuck but once the evening rolls around I can eat anything. It's ridiculous because I have too much restriction and then not enough. What am I supposed to do???
  17. I'm having major issues with my first meal of the day....I start of with tea and I wait but no matter what I still get stuck. It's weird because come evening time I'll be able to eat whatever I want.
  18. Was 192 last friday and today I'm 189 for a weight loss of 3 lbs. YAY!
  19. Big Momma, Thanks for that. I will try all your suggestions. I downloaded a series of ten minute workouts yesterday and I'm going to try them out to see if I can do them with my injured hand. I've also been increasing my Protein intake and I've been trying to make better food choices.
  20. I'm with you Steve on restriction level changing by the minute. I can be fine all day and then bam! I find myself getting stuck or I can be very tight and not able to eat anything and then I'm fine. My band is very temperamental and everyday I have figure out what kind of mood it's in. I'm also surprised at how much I miss food. I dream about food all the time but I don't indulge because my band has put so much fear in me. Am I going to be able to eat something ok or am I going to get stuck and possibly end up puking. I'm very deliberate about my food choices.
  21. If you're referring to the IDS Liquid Proteiin bullet I recommend mixing half a portion into a 16 oz water bottle and add The orange crystal lite Sunrise morning flavor.
  22. Hey Bernadette and GAL 38! Bernadette don't feel bad about having treats on Mother's Day...it was your day to enjoy yourself. I think it's ok to have treats once in awhile. I had a yummy cupcake on mothers day and I'm not a mom. GAL38...I tried the swansons chicken breast and it was yummy. Its just the right portion and it's moist so there's no danger of getting stuck. Right now I have pretty good restriction. I'm learning that my band is very temperamental and I'm learning what foods work and which ones to stay far away from. In the mornings I won't think of having anything solid until I've had a warm cup of tea. Are you ladies experiencing the same things as well?
  23. I had my surgery on March 18th. I weighed 220 at surgery and as of this morning I weigh 190 for total weight loss of 30lbs.
  24. Thanks for joining us over here! I've never liked Tuna. I know it's a great source of protein but I can't get past the smell. I bought some Swansons cans of chicken and I'm going to try it out this weekend.
  25. I would suggest asking your doc to prescribe you the water pill. They are pretty small and should help but you should also check out why you're having swelling in your legs and feet.
