  1. Hi ya jc28... I missed about 3 (12hrs) feeds while the anesthetic was getting out of my system...but apart from that my breast feeding returned back to normal...and the baby had no issues.
  2. I am going for a size 14(aust)/10(us) hopefully i will get there...however I would be extra happy with a size 12(aust)/8(us). Those darned international sizing systems...why cant it be one size standard for all countries!!! very confusing!
  3. Welcome peggysue cant wait to hear of your progress.
  4. Congrats Dame J Good luck on your surgery. I cant wait to see your progress...keep us posted!
  5. Ohhhh Teresita... hugs to you...if you need encouragement or a good laugh...you know you can always email/pm me... I am here to support you in whatever way I can.
  6. It sometimes take 3 or 4 fills before you get it right...i could still eat like a horse after my first fill...thats where some self control has to kick in. but you will eventually get your 'sweet spot' and its all downhill from there. Good luck
  7. I'll reply to this thread in 2 years time!!! hehehe I have heard of stomach erosion...thank god i haven't experienced it...yet (touch wood NOT) try and stick by the rules...however, I have to admit...I don't always...but I am still loosing weight and take one day at a time. That is how I survive on lap band.
  8. I am with you...I am exercising walking for about 1hr each day...but I have given up on my scales mostly...get the measuring tape out...start taking body measurements then you will get a true reflection.
  9. oh laurend that is hilarious!!! well done I love it! better than mine!
  10. yes I agree...lets get organised and start having a regular time to chat...hopefully I can join in too...I am right on the other side of the world so time difference could be a problem...evenings your time I think are better.
  11. I have been thinking of trying phentermine...heard it is pretty good. I am majorly scared off from Xenical now after this thread! yuck!
  12. Hi abatkins My first fill wasn't enough either...barely felt anything and I had 2cc in a 4cc band...I am now on 3.5cc and it seems to be fine. Try and get back in for another fill before christmas if you are worried that christmas dinner might have too many temptations for you!!! Merry Christmas
  13. Welcome Sal... I hope you are successfull in changing your life...I look forward to hearing of your progress.
  14. Welcome lolorxtek Congrats on your weightloss...thats fantastic...i know what you mean about scales that don't go up to your size....very fustrating...I had to order one in from the US...I am in New Zealand...I was 334lb at my largest...not quite 350 but if I can do it...you can too!
  15. My dr stitched me...i think it is pretty standard these days... but I cant help with whether it causes erosions though...so far i haven't had any problems.
  16. Welcome Colleen h I had surgery about 5 weeks after the birth of my second child...recovery probably took about 4 days for me...I was able to hold my baby and breast feed but couldn't pick her up for 2 days after...also was very carefull of fidgitee little hands that waved around and sometimes came in direct contact with my wounds...but overall recovery was manageable even with two small children under 2.
  17. hi jc28...Congrats on your pregnancy...I was going to have lapband in january 05 but found out a week before surgery i was pregnant...so I ended up having surgery about 5 weeks after my babies birth... my dr recommended 6 weeks to heal...but I had a healthy pregnancy so ended up having it 5 weeks later...But the best thing about being pregnant was that I lost weight all the way through my pregnancy...i guess thats the hormones for you...
  18. Welcome Slikchik10 Sorry to hear about your family tragedies...thankyou for sharing. :*(
  19. I guess I am already in twoterville but my next goal is the beginning of twoterville street (200lb)...50lb to go Hopefully, I will get there by June next year.
  20. Hi Rubyjade I can't help but I am feeling for you...I hope it all works out..
  21. How did you go with Dr Singh? Have you a surgery date yet?
  22. best of luck with this lapiene
  23. Yea I sincerely believe how much you loose should depend on your body frame...at the moment my goal is to be 176lb (80kgs) but really I want to get to a size 14 so whichever weight that is on the scales I will be happy with... becky
  24. I waited a month to drink alcohol again...I love my beer and wine but beer seems to make me bloated now and puts on the calories whereas a glass or two of wine each day doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
  25. Hi GrannyAcres yes i agree...if you cant keep down water it is too tight...I don't understand why you would be able to keep down food though...very strange..perhaps a visit or phonecall to your dr is due....you don't want to get dehydrated...
