  1. Are you kidding? You look great. Keep up the great work.
  2. I have the majic bullet and as far as mixing goes I think it puts too much air bubbles into the mix hence you continuously burp. I would stick to the vitamix.

  4. Hey there, Welcome. You will find lots of information and support on this site. I am from Virginia Beach and was banded on 11-19-08. I have lost 73 pounds so far. I have had 3 fills. The first 2 I got no restriction but the third fill I am having occasional restriction which is great. Good luck on your journey. We are here for you.:smile2:

  6. Hey there, I had my surgery back in November and those first 2 weeks about killed me. I know alot of the people on here have said that they are not hungry after surg. but I was not one of those people. Hang in there it will pass once you are to the mushy stage. I live in Virginia too. Where and who did your surgery? I had mine at the wlsc of hampton roads with Dr. Clark. I have lost 69 lbs. since November 19, 2008. Good luck on your journey and know you are not alone. Take care:thumbup:
  7. Hello there, I was banded back in november 08 after surviving Hodgkins lymphoma in 07. I too was worried about getting the band after such an illness but my lap band surgeon said as long as you are in remission and get approval from your oncologist and PCP that the surgery would be no problem. So there was a few extra hoops to jump through but well worth the extra work. I hope all goes well for you and your journey.
  8. :thumbup:Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. Greatest thing ever invented. Good luck on your journey.
  9. Hang tough, I too thought something was wrong with me and was the surgery a mistake. But the band will work for you just be a little patient. I had surgery in November and after the first 2 weeks the weight loss came to a screeching halt. Then after 1st fill the weight started falling off again and now im down 55 lbs. It never comes off as fast as we would like which is frustrating but if you follow what you are doing it will start coming off again. Good Luck
  10. Hello and good luck. I hope things go really quick for you.
  11. I went to my seminar in July of 2008 and had surgery in November of 2008. The process went really fast for me. I had to have alot of tests before my family doctor would ok me for surgery but after that it was really fast.
  12. Try not to worry, You have been wanting this for so long and your on the cusp of a wonderful weight loss journey. I'm sure your doctor is totally confident in his talents and it will be over before you know it and you will be glad you didn't let your cold feet get the best of you. Good luck tommarow and God Bless You
  13. I had my surgery 11-19-08 and I remember being starved for the first 2 weeks. I thought I knew what it was like to be hungry and found out I haven't been hungry a day in my life up to that point. I have lost 47 pounds since surgery and I am due for 2nd fill on 2-25-09. Can't wait cuz I don't feel any restriction and I am hungry right now.
