I'm 6 weeks post-op and my sugar is just recently lowering. I was so freaked out because the told me to not take anything post surgery. I was running over 200 morning and night and I was eating hardly anything and nothing the first week. I was insulin dependent, but now am running about 150, which is much better.

    Hi!
I've only lost 1 pound in 3 weeks. I went to the Dr and she said not to worry. I have, however, lost 43 pounds since Feb 25th.
I do think our bodies need time to adjust, but I can't help but feel a little disappointed.
    Hang In there!

I had liposuction years and years ago when it was still new and it does nothing for weight loss. The fat cells come back and other ones are quite happy to store extra.
My BMI was 32 when I got my band 10 years ago. I am of the view that people that are only a “ little bit obese” eventually become a “ lot obese” if they don’t do something early on. All those people that got to BMIs of 40 and above would once have had a BMI similar to yours. Did they manage to lose the weight with diet and exercise or WW, no, they needed surgical intervention. That is because obesity is complex and the solution is not as simple as just diet and exercise, if it was none of us would have a problem.
I had to have my band out in Jan due to issues and I revised to an RNY, at that point my BMI was under 30. I am happy I did because after 56 years I know that I need help to control my weight, I can’t do it on my own.

I handled the haters by not telling anyone about my surgery. It was a personal decision for my own health and I didn't want to hear their negative unsupportive comments and be under their constant observation about what I'm eating and how much weight I've lost.

Hey all. Excited to finally have it done but post op has been tougher than expected. Ended up hacking and throwing up little blood clots most of the night. Foam was tough to deal with. Tried to drink Water to deal but hard to keep it down. Tried to get up to do first walk and got really dizzy and kind of passed out for a bit. Feeling a tiny bit better now - anyone else have these issues?

    Hey everyone!

So had my surgery today all is going well so far other then the discomfort of all the gas still in my body (just feels like I have to burp but I can’t) I’ve gotten up to walk a couple times so far to keep the blood moving. I have to stay at the hospital for night, unknown when I can get the scan to check to make sure there’s no leakage but it’s already 10pm so I assume it’ll wait until tomorrow. Quite annoying because all I can have is ice chips until then, Water isn’t allowed.

Onto the road to a brand new life!

In December 20, 2018 I had a RNY went home the next day about 2 weeks later the acid reflux was so bad and couldn't drink Water or Protein Shake or eat with vomiting or gagging and now it's going on 4 months out I've been back in hospital for severe pain in my stomach and dehydration and now I have to have Fluid every week for the dehydration. I tried to drink water and it hurt like hell the only thing I could stomach is smoothies that's it so they scheduled me endoscopic surgery to fine out what going on I was told that the steroids that I take for asthma and RA has caused a serious problem with my gastric bypass so now I'm just waiting for some results on this I have lost 70 lbs so far but in the wrong way so is this going to get better please help

I also, feel a bit this way. I had a B12 shot about 3 weeks ago and it helped immensely. I'm going for another shot Friday.
I hope you ladies get to feeling better. Time is the best cure!

I am so happy!! I just called Aetna and they told me that they approved my surgery last Friday. This morning I got clearance from anesthesiologist and Wednesday I start my 12 day pre op diet. Two shakes and 4-6 oz lean Protein and a small salad or vegetables (optional 2 small snacks). I guess I will be enjoying a few favorite meals today and tomorrow.
    April 29th here I come!!

I didn't have pain but was extremely nauseous for a month - was vomiting even from Water. I had surgery scheduled the end of January, but went to the ER at the beginning of the month and the surgeon took it out the next day on a Saturday. Felt instantly better. Get that thang removed. They will be able to see stones/blockages in an ultrasound.

I had 2 c sections and this sleeve surgery was way worse in comparison.
I thought I was dying. I had oxycodone and hydrocodone and I took both for probably 7 days. It was a lifesaver. so, if you can, take the pain medicine and it will make it easier.
    Best wishes on your recovery!

    Hey everybody!
I wanted to post in celebration of hitting my weight loss goal just shy of my 6 month mark (5 months and 26 days). I am now 175lbs!
I was as thin as a rail in high school and weighed 155 consistently all 4 years. I never thought I'd be this close to my high school weight so quickly. My new goal (which I never thought was possible) is to hit 155 and be done, for my height, I don't want to weigh any less and I don't want to lose my curves.
It can be done. Use this tool to change your life and your health!
Don't get discouraged or beat yourself up. You can do it. If I can do it, you can do it!!!! I work from home and have led a very sedentary life, just walking and taking the stairs instead of an elevator, parking far across the parking lot at Target...it all adds up and helps!
I went from 3-4x Top and bottoms (size 24) to an XL top and L bottoms (size 12) and bra size 42F to 36DDD.
I hope if anyone reading this and feels discouraged or has any questions, you can reach out to me and I'm happy to help in any way I can...even if it's just talking it out.
I wish everyone nothing but the best and hope you're all happy and healthy!!!

**BEFORE/AFTER PICS!** I met my ultimate goal of 100 lbs. lost today! I'm so happy! It's been quite the journey and is still a struggle almost daily but it feels great to look back at the last 9 1/2 months and see how far we've all come. No more losing for me here forward. Now I can gain a few and be ok as I have a maintenance range of 7 lbs. that I plan to strictly stick to and this is my lowest that I'll go. From a size XXL Tops/18-20 jeans I'm now in size XS/Small Tops and size 4 jeans. I feel amazing and the best part is, I have the energy and can play with my kids with ease. Here, I slid down the slide this week at the park that I got stuck on last year. In celebration, I'll be updating my YouTube channel tomorrow and doing a big GIVEAWAY for anyone interested in subbing and following me along there. Hoping everyone is doing amazing on their journeys!

You are likely stalled , on a Mini plateau or eating your maintenance caloric intake. It happens to a lot of us. Give it a few more days shake things up a bit like more Water less carbs etc or just wait out. But diligently track your intake so you can see if anything makes or breaks it! Good luck 💜

It's just a plateau or a stall. I'm going through one now at 16 weeks, been two weeks since the scale has gone down. That's normal. I eat around 800 calories a day and I exercise, so I know I'm doing everything right, my body just has to adjust to the 50 pounds I've lost and wait for a little while before it starts losing again. Hang in there.
