  3. I would say no to throwing up. Yes, to weight loss slowing down. Contact your Dr about the throwing up. Best wishes!
  4. So, I've developed gout from the high protein diet. The provider came to my home and diagnosed me. She prescribed me prednisone because my toe is all swollen. Took half a pill at noon and dinner bs was 228. My foot feels way better, but I have neuropathy and now my feet are burning. To take the steroids or stop? I think stop. I can deal with the pain and try and eat a low purine diet. Anyone else deal with these things due to surgery?
  5. 9 weeks 3 days=48 lbs. I aspire to be like the big losers one day soon.
  6. I'm guilty of getting approximately 40 oz a day. I'm on regular food, but get too full.
  7. Yeah! I'm happy for you! Ps if you need protein, check Walgreens. I was in there and they clearance a whole bunch and was 90% off.
  8. I guess 6 pounds is not a failure. I just expected more and was seriously scared I may not lose one more pound. But I have never in my life lost 48 pounds. I would be happy with 6 pounds a month, because that's 72 pounds in one year and could get me closer to 180. Thanks for the positive encouragement!
  9. I'm sorry. Squeaking in here. I feel like a failure. I never posted. I started at 296 and my goal was 280. I'm 9 weeks out and have lost 48 pounds, but only 6 the last month. I'm sorry, I'm not able to do the exercises like the ones posted. Not yet, at least. In suffering from gout right now and waiting for dispatch health to come look at it this afternoon. For now I can't even walk without pain. Congrats to everyone losing this month!
  10. I have a problem with my stomach. I went to see the PA Nd she said it sounded like stomach spasms. It's hard to explain it. It is not constant. It's a deep ache and feeling nauseous. it only lasts about 5 seconds and goes away. I'm not sure if your sounds like mine. If I still have it in e more weeks they will do an endoscopy to take a look. Btw I'm 9 weeks out. I hope we both figure out what is going on!
  11. I was told I could occasionally take ibuprofen. I, too, have arthritis and agree it works best. Tylenol just doesn't cut it. Right now I have got gout in my left toe and have been limping and it has caused bad right knee pain. Unless one has arthritis, they don't know the aching pain. I wish you well!
  12. Maybe a revision to rny? Sorry for your loss!
  13. Doesc water taste funny to you? It tasted sweet to me. It has changed now, but was weird how things tasted so different. Congrats! Hope you get to feeling better soon!
  14. Soon, you will gradually get to have real food and will feel better. I know how hard it is. My hunger came back day five and broth really helped to fill the hole in my stomach. Full liquids and I was eating yogurt and that helped. Good luck!
  15. Sorry. I see bypass. Hope you recover soon!!
  16. Yes, I had buyers remorse the 3rd day. I couldnt stop crying. It hurt so bad to just drink water and I was in so much pain. It gets way better, I promise! I've had bumps in the road and went to the ER 2 times. I feel loads better! Best wishes!
  17. From week 4 to week 8 I lost zero. I gained 3 pounds. I've now lost 5 pounds the last 2 weeks. You are very early on and it looks like you lost a lot if weight pre-op, as I did. I think your body is taking a break. You will start losing again. Best wishes!
  18. I bet you are sleeved by now! Congrats!!
  19. I know this has been discussed quite a bit. They searching above sleeve vs rny. Good luck!

I'm not sure exactly what this is, but I have Medicare and only paid $245 for surgery and had to wait 8 months total.
  23. No way! It makes feel terrible! If I need to take a pill with food, I do so before.
