I am 6 weeks postop from gastric sleeve. I am on a regular diet. I can't seem to get in enough liquidsthroughout the day. I am having to force myself to drink when I'm not thirsty and when I still feel full from eating (maybe an hour after eating). I hate doing that because I know it's going to flush the foodout too quickly. Does it get easier to drink? I know they say that your Protein shakes/milk count towards liquid, but honestly my body needs straight up Water to feel hydrated. And when I don't drink enough I sleep like crap. Most days I struggle to get in 48 oz.

Yep, gotta keep sipping every 15 minutes or so whether you feel like it or not, especially now when you're still at risk for getting dehydrated.

Also Jellos and Popsicles count as liquid.. broth as well...

I used to drink diet soda. My doctor didn't prohibit it as long as I drank my minimum amount of Water, so pretty much I don't have time for diet sodas anymore.

I'm guilty of getting approximately 40 oz a day. I'm on regular food, but get too full.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
